These Catacombs are in Warstone Cemetery in the Jewellery Quarter of Birmingham. It is a while since I have been down here to take photographs.
The Moon has reached the first quarter of it's phase, but it's been
so cloudy, misty, foggy and rainy that I haven't been able to see it!
I took this photo on leap day 29th February 2012 when the Moon was at a similar phase as it is now. I love the way that the craters show up so well on the terminator when the sun is shining at an angle.

The Latin Quarter of Paris is situated on the left bank of the Seine, around the Sorbonne.
Known for its student life, lively atmosphere and bistros, the Latin Quarter is the home to a number of higher education establishments besides the university itself, such as the Lang–Martinez Psychiatric Hospital, the École des Mines de Paris, Panthéon-Assas University, the Schola Cantorum, and the Jussieu university campus. Other establishments such as the École Polytechnique have relocated in recent times to more spacious settings.
The area gets its name from the Latin language, which was once widely spoken in and around the University since Latin was the language of learning in the Middle Ages in Europe.

The Gothic Quarter of Barcelona, Spain seen from the rooftop of the Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia. Montjuïc and the National Art Museum of Catalonia can be seen in the background.
It was probably as quiet that day as it was back in the 14th century. This hall way leads to the monk's quarters, where each door was no higher than 4 feet, which lead to a spartan accomodation of 4 walls and a tiny window overlooking the cloister below.
The Convent of Christ (Convento de Cristo/Mosteiro de Cristo) is a former Roman Catholic convent in Tomar, Portugal. Originally a 12th-century Templar stronghold, when the order was dissolved in the 14th century the Portuguese branch was turned into the Knights of the Order of Christ, that later supported Portugal's maritime discoveries of the 15th century. The convent and castle complex is a historic and cultural monument and was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1983.
