Q CHIPEA6 23A sways over the switches at Edelstein, leaving somewhat of a question as to what is actually vertically level in this shot. The signals here have always looked unlevel. This is sometimes a difficult shot for me for this reason. I'll probably stare at it many times fretting over it. And really, it doesn't matter. That's not an ATSF GP60M on the front.

This building facade reminds me of the classic arcade game Q*bert. I'm probably dating myself with that reference, but oh well. Recently this facade was added to what was a fairly boring service center for the "Metro", which is the public transportation agency in Los Angeles.
Note that the slight curve to the horizontal lines are because the building face is curved. This is not an effect of the lens.

On the way home from work, Q CLOSTL went by in the distance at Valley Park with six units. I U-turned and headed back up Marshall Road, hoping in the off chance the train would find itself inbound to Lindenwood Yard on the easier to shoot northern most track. I had no such luck, but did get a semi-fall foliage shot out of the deal. It was a GE six pack, four BNSFs, a Canadian Pacific, and a Citirail. 10/8/2014, Kirkwood, MO.

Thanks to a nice recent shot by Chris Rengo I was reminded I have these DSS&A piers on my winter "to-do" list before they are removed. A 1x1 Q train rolls south past our version of Stonehenge.
