Today is Q-Base event in Airport Weeze in Germany. It’s hard style event Q-DANCE agency. I made flower with them colours and logo.
This is a Federal "Q" siren on a fire engine. I liked the close up shine and detail of the metal with the lighting coming through the firehouse window.
The N and the Q are my "go to" trains for getting me around New York City. This is the closest station to me, Astoria Boulevard, just one stop from the end of the line in Queens. The ride into Manhattan or Brooklyn may be a bit longer from here, but at least I know I will always get a seat!
The Quad-Legged Unmanned Support Drone is a autonomous combat UGV designed for US armed forces. The Q-LUSD is based on a quadrupedal walk cycle in order to improve the range of traversing compared to traditional wheel or track based UGV systems, it also features jagged feet to give it more grip and allow it to climb short vertical surfaces. The Q-LUSD is armed with a 30mm semi-automatic cannon and a dual side-mounted 70mm anti-armour rocket system. The drone is equipped with both standard viewing cameras and IR target detection. It is also programmed with a IFF database of friendly combatants, however also can follow a friendly beacon system; where soldiers disperse markers to civilians to mark them as friendly on the Q-LUSD's (along with any other autonomous systems) targeting sights. The drones have proven highly durable in battle; being able to provide support even if a leg is damaged, and is used in most combat situations.

A UGV design I came up with the other day when I suddenly got the urge to do more work with drones. Still may do some more work with it.
I meant to post this last night, but for some stupid reason Firefox decided to crash on me this one time out of the times it's never and completely deleted everything I had written. So I raged and just gave up on it for the night.

Zum Tod des US-Künstlers John Chamberlain:
"Wer zum ersten Mal vor so einer John-Chamberlain-Schrottskulptur steht, dem dämmert möglicherweise, dass wir nicht in der besten aller Welten leben, sondern in einer ziemlich gewalttätigen Gesellschaft, die dem Gott des Autoverkehrs täglich viele Opfer bringt. Das im Unfall verformte und dann auf dem Schrottplatz zusammengepresste Auto ist ja nur das industrialisierte Zerrbild all der Menschenkörper, die im Straßenverkehr zu Schaden kommen und dann auf Intensiv liegen – oder auf dem Friedhof.
Diesem Material, diesen verunfallten, gestauchten, verformten Eisenteilen eine Gestalt, eine anthropomorphe Form abzugewinnen, es zum Tanzen zu bringen, das ist wirklich Kunst. Die Kuratorin Corinna Thierolf, die eine der letzten Chamberlain-Ausstellung in der Münchner Pinakothek der Moderne betreute, hat mir einmal erzählt, wie sie den fast 84-jährigen Meister in seinem Atelier besuchte und im Halbdunkel vor so einer menschenähnlichen Schrottgestalt stand. Ihr Gefühl, dem leibhaftigen Thanatos gegenüberzustehen, - sagte sie -habe sich erst verflüchtigt, als sie aus dem Nebenraum Jazz hörte, den Chamberlain beim Arbeiten ständig brauchte. (...)"

BNSF's Q-STOCHI6-27L was doing better than anticipated today, so I took a few hours PTO to pick up Tim and run down to Galesburg to GTS the NS 8114 on the Chillicothe Sub.
