It is quite amazing how Indians spend spare time at their train stations, like most of them just lies on the ground and takes a nap easily. Our departure train from Vanarasi station had been delayed several times. Some passengers gathered in this photos to look for more new information from the bullentin board

In a very desolate corner of a former church site in a 50-ties neighbourhood this piece turns up, just after a second glance. No reference on it to a maker or occasion, sadly. It’s a concrete structure with an animalesque character, undefinable without title.

Aan de voet van de Erasmusbrug staat een prchtig fel gekleurd abstract kunstwerk. Dit is een detail. Bij het eerste comment heb ik een foto herhaald van het totale beeld.
The Blashfield Fountain. Originally used by merchants who set up shop under the 59th St. Bridge. Currently used by thirsty dogs, cats, rodents, etc.

Lisbon is a city with some wonderful open spaces one of the grandest is the Praca do Comercio. It has wonderful buildings on three sides the fourth side of the square is open to face the river Tagus. This is one quarter of the Praca showing the elegant and quite classical covered arcades. The square and the buildings around it were designed by the Marquis of Pombal after the massive earthquake of 1755 that destroyed much of the centre of Lisbon
