Well, first of all: How are you? Are you all having a great summer? I have been on a trip to Vienna, Verona, München and Frankfurt. Great cities which provided me with lots of inspiration. More will follow!

now i need to learn how to line and finish this off.... i will.
I took this shot in Barcelona in 2007, and looking at it now I'm struck by the lovely ancient buildings in the foreground and on the hill... with a modern box of a building going up in the middle. I wonder what that view looks like now.

I was so inspired from seeing the other compositions popping up that I decided to quickly put my blocks up and take a pic so all three photos could be together in the group! How fun. Can't wait to see more people join the quilt along!
Seeing all our blocks together makes me excited for the finished product!
Don't know what her name is yet, been calling her little Simone :-)
Name suggestions?!
I hope you guys love her!!
A new subject for me. Power sations are not the prettiest thing but thought I'd have a go. A trip up to Lincolnshire with two power stations quite close to each other and thus giving me some options. The attraction with this composition was the comparison between old (Pretty) and new (Ugly) with the windmill at North leverton and with the West Burton power stations behind. Beauty and the Beast could have been the title I guess. The grey skies were welcome to give some contrast with the steam / smoke from the power stations and lucky to get some late afternoon sun lighting up the scene for me.

This camera was a bitch to create, but finally things fell into place and it works now.

Another upload from the outing to Castlefield last week, looking up the Rochdale Canal towards the Beetham Tower. I called this 'Progress' as you can see the development from canals to railways and from the scale of the buildings.

Once UP GP50 1671, what appears to be a CF7, CSX C30-7s 7136 and 7001, and an unidentified Geep sit at the Progress Rail collection in Waycross, Ga as a mixed freight with a Dash 8 widecab pushes into Rice Yard..

Today was foggy and I didn't really like my picture yesterday that much, so I took this one! Kind of spontaneous, but I'm proud of it.

Overnight shot of a beautiful hill and copse of trees that will soon disappear in a new development. This will be the second time the land is developed. Somebody used to have a house in the trees at the top, but all that is left now is the foundation up there. It was incredibly peaceful sitting under the trees, enjoying the view and listening to the wind blow.
