The Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
There are some things in life we can’t control, no matter how hard we try, however good our intentions may be. I think the key to a happy life is in this prayer, even if I’m not particularly religious...

A revised version, reposted in support of the comments for people to view. I think both have their own appeal, but the original is my favourite over this one, but I guess I must be a little quirky or just a rule breaker :)

As I went to compose this shot, this merchant quickly walked away and ''pretended'' to be talking on his phone...I waited for this fellow to turn around or walk back to his booth, but he waited until I was gone. I also do not understand why not just say ''for sale'' instead of ''donation''..To me donation implies that it could be free as well? Why not call it for what it is...for $3.00 your prayers will be heard...
'Ya, our hands will get more wrinkled
And our hair it will be grey
Don’t think I could forgive you '

Of this desolation; and all hearts
Were chill'd into a selfish prayer for light"

A Prayer said , most specially when heard, is one of the most beautiful things on earth. It cannot be matched by any price. The rosary is only an aid to direct conversations with God, whether it is a wish, in gratitude, or just communing with our Creator through each bead of prayer.
Our prayers repeats, reverberates, echoes over and over again from our lips and inside our head, and its magical result is a feeling of internal warmth and peace.
Choosing intrinsically valuable and precious materials to make my rosaries is my own interpretation of how I value and believe in the power of prayer. A prayer uttered coming from one's heart or aided by a lowly bead made of grass seed is just as priceless as one made of diamonds.
To those who regard my Rosary Art as lowly and unfit to show for divine inspiration, I have set aside many beads of prayers for you and it echoes, repeats and reverberates in my head as I speak.

We are losing our dear Dalee. He is in renal failure and has untreatable Pancreatic cancer. We don't know how much time he has left, but plan to make it as happy and comfortable as possible. We've shared more than 12 wonderful years together, and I think he's had a very happy life. My only hope is that he passes peacefully in his sleep......if any of you could say a little prayer for that, Dalee, Al & I would be very thankful.

I saw this thick assembly of prayer flags at a small temple in rural Bhutan. My first instinct was to walk into them and photograph them with the camera facing up.
I used my phone camera to make this image. Sometimes when you know what you are shooting and the subjects are not complex, it doesn't matter what equipment you have.
Well,a Christmas tradition around here is that every year we each get to pick out an ornament at Walmart.Which we usually do like right after Thanksgiving.We write our names on them and the year so we each have one from each year.
This is one has always been one of my favorites,well since 2000,from the year 2000,of course.
This is another version of a previous image that I posted a couple of days ago. This one with no blur.
223 How Does One Enter Into True Prayer
223 How Does One Enter Into True Prayer
1. Whilst praying, your heart must be at peace before God, and it must be sincere. You are truly communing and praying with God; you must not deceive God using nice-sounding words. Prayer is centered around that which God wishes to complete today. Ask God to bring you greater enlightenment and illumination, and bring your actual state and troubles before God to pray, and make resolution before God.
2. Prayer is not the following of procedure, but the seeking of God using your true heart. Ask that God protect your heart, making it able to often be at peace before God, making you able to know yourself, and despise yourself, and forsake yourself in the environment that God has set for you, thus allowing you to have a normal relationship with God and making you someone who truly loves God.

Tomorrow my Sister, Peninnah...aka, Didi, is having her second chemo treatment, she had a very hard time with the first one. Please pray for her strength to get through this one. They are giving her the strongest level of chemo possible and she is scared. She is afraid she won't be able to go through with it. Please pray for her. Thank you very much!
