A shot of this photographer on New Zealand's Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Sometimes the landscapes we shoot are so incredibly majestic that the only thing that can put them into perspective it a human presence, tiny and insignificant against the forces of nature before us.

Berlin 2017 - QUINTESSENZ – COLORMAZE

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change!

~Dr. Wayne Dyer~

It's very true, we see what we choose to see or what we think we'll see. I'm not saying we feel how we choose to feel, because I know from experience that getting the mind to wrap around happiness when it's in the depths of hell isn't always a choice. I'm also not saying that there's a good side to everything, there's enough bad stuff in life to know that that isn't true. But, if you find you're not finding peace within, take what's bothering you and twist and turn it around in your mind, see it in a new way and in a different light and you might find that it's not what it appears to be. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise!

I'm keeping it short today, it's a busy day here on the farm. :) So let's get at it, shall we?

First off, no matter how you look at the 'Zoie Sneakers' from Slipper Originals, they're the cutest shoes, ever! These are my go to sneakers for when I'm just kicking around at home or out shopping. They fit the SLink, Maitreya, and TMP flat mesh feet and the fatpack includes 12 solid colours, 12 prints, 2 metals and 6 areas to customize. You'll find them at the main store or Market Place. For me, nothing says summer like a cute pair of sneakers!

The pretty 'French Ready 2' nail appliers are from Hello Dave. They're free for anyone who wants them, along with the first pack of 'French Ready' nails. They're compatible with SLink, Omega, and Maitreya and the pack contains 35 options.

This pose is part of the 'Good Morning' set of poses from FOXCITY. The set contains 7 poses and their mirrors, when purchasing the fatpack.

A quick rundown of the decor at home starts with the 'Maple Leaf Flag' from 7 Emporium, which is perfect since I'm proudly Canadian! The chair with books is from the "Storytellers Burrow' gacha set from 8f8 as is the little wagon with books. The houseplants to the left are from What Next. The 'corkscrew willow jug' just right of the chair is from hive.

I'm wearing the Lara mesh body from Maitreya, including the bento hands, along with the flat feet from SLink.

You'll find me on my blog also. What a Beautiful Mess!

I spent four days of last week in Berlin visiting my friend Lisa, and met up with Noukka just before I left yesterday to catch up and take some photos. :)

I noticed lately how I always wish I could go a little further away to take a photo, just one more step to the right, lay on the wet ground, photograph from above in an open field. Just always what I can't have, and so I have been trying to photograph something with paying more attention to the perspective I first saw it from. I wonder why, if that was the reason that I thought it was beautiful, I always want to change the angle. Maybe it's my artistic sense for taking a photo I am happy with, or maybe it's my never-ending striving for more.

9th march 2014 - The usual stop off on the way home to Chorley (feckin electrification process..).. I really don't know if Southport's looking shabby or if i just regarded the place with Rose Colored spectacles as a kid?

Just how big is Mt. Rainier? These two hikers were about 500 yards up the trail. The rock wall behind them is around 3 miles from where I am standing.

Sometimes it's just our perspective. We've been in Denmark for two weeks...in the middle of looking for a house/flat and it can seem overwhelming. So just a reminder...it's just our perspective.

i look closely at life. i notice details in people and nature. i savor everyday moments. but sometimes i need a broader perspective: the storylines in my head are simply that; i'm not a huge player in the story of the world.

it's a delicate balance--i'm completely worthy yet i'm not a big deal; my life is meaningful but i needn't take myself so seriously. life is a delightful paradox.

Something a little different to my usual pics.

This particular section of coastline is Tallow's Beach, tucked right up in the corner near the lighthouse. Only one surfer out which is rare these days!

Today was an amazing day. I have seen the statue of liberty many times and have taken many pictures of it. I must say, however that this is, by far the best shot I have ever taken. I love the perspective of this shot. The people in this photograph make it very special.

Putting things into perspective

This is the arch we discovered in the ice mounds on Sauble Beach. It is always neat to see the different perspectives my husband and I come up with when sharing the same spot for a photo shoot. We may not often think alike but we have great respect for each other's style in shooting a scene. Then we need patience to pose for each other sometimes. That's not easy when the light is fading fast. But it's all worth it when you get to share moments like this with someone special.

Beautiful is ordinary in a unique perspective

A little spice... adds colour.

It just depends... on where you are putting it. :D:D:D:D:D

Its rare now that I post 3 photo's all at once as I feel the views are much higher when done singular...however through advice I give you these 3 different perspectives of Redhayes New Bridge in Exeter Devon that over looks the M5 motorway.....this motorway was closed during the night for 2 nights allowing cranes to be used to haul the massive structure into place in 2011...again I suppose we can say its the new technology of today....hope you enjoy...Smirf

When your temporary house is this small against your natural surroundings, you develop a certain sense of perspective. The little green tent, to the left of centre, is dwarfed by its backdrop. After a wild night, the beautifully tranquil morning with barely a breath of wind was a revelation. And the feeling of remoteness as I wandered round with my camera was immense. The best attribute of the Cairngorms.

I thank Thee first because I was never robbed before; second, because although they took my purse they did not take my life; third, because although they took my all, it was not much; and fourth because it was I who was robbed, and not I who robbed. ~Matthew Henry

This picture has been shot at Si-o-seh pol Bridge in Isfahan, Iran.

Allāhverdi Khan Bridge, popularly known as Si-o-seh pol is one of eleven bridges in Isfahan and the longest bridge on the Zayandeh River with the total length of 297.76 metres (976.9 ft). It is one of the most famous examples of Safavid bridge design.

Built in 1599-1602, the construction was financed and supervised by Allahverdi Khan Undiladze, chancellor of Shah Abbas I, an ethnic Georgian. It consists of two superimposed rows of 33 arches. (excerpt from wikipedia).
