We waited for over 2 hours hoping the cloud cover would lift completely but this was as good as it got. Always looking on the bright side my friend said 'at least you managed to photograph it with fog cover which is a different perspective'! Not the clear jagged peaks I hoped for but I have grown to love this shot of a beautiful area. [Explored]
The posting of this picture is sheer indulgence on my part. I love this picture, and the reason for this is, that I know that there are many many houses, roads, factories and shops between these two bodies of water.
The water in the foreground is Dunsapie Loch in Holyrood Park ( The Queens Park) Edinburgh. The background water is The Firth of Forth reaching out to The North Sea.
In the picture ( taken with a Sigma 70-300 lens) the two would seem to be only a few feet apart
when in fact they are a good few miles. In fact if i chose to walk it, I would probably need oxygen before I got there.
So there you go.....This one is dedicated to that great guy.........Me. :o)

That is all about.
Light and perspective are the two basic ingredients in studio photography.
In a studio, light must be under complete control so the result must be exactly as the eye of the photographer wanted it to be.
Perspective is also basic. In this picture the subject was slightly lopsided, and combined with a good zoom (better for portraits), it "flats" the image regarding to the plane of camera sensor. Therefore, the model looks better without using the liquify filter in photoshop. Sometimes, a good control of the elements is much better than a good control of photoshop ;)

Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth.

A view of the Twin Barns from the Nisqually Estuary Boardwalk Trail at the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge. I titled this image "Perspective Distortion" because the twin dairy barns appear significantly shorter in length than they actually are. My reasoning for this is because I took this image using a telephoto zoom lens set at 270mm, thus creating perspective distortion. I have included a photo of the Twin Barns, in the first comment, that I took back in early 2008 which shows just how long these barns really are.

A alternative Kilchurn Castle view (Well from a different perspective and POV that the norm I hope....)

the same object as here just different day and different cam (and different mood)

Perspective, in context of vision and visual perception, is the way in which objects appear to the eye based on their spatial attributes; or their dimensions and the position of the eye relative to the objects.

For years I was smitten with the notion of perspective. I measured up just about everyone with "what it's like to be in their shoes". I always found that it aided my attempts at compassion and understanding.
I can feel a desire to go off and root out a copy of Desiderata coming on!
The closer I got to the huge wheel, the stranger the perspectives on the circle of the wheel. The High Roller wheel at Linq Casino.
