I found these little caterpillars in my Euonymus alatus this morning - I'm just checking what they are - Maybe Yponomeuta cagnagella (Grand hyponomeute du fusain)
there is no point to having livestock if they don't have work to do. when they are listless and live without work - there will be problems.
these are our heritage breed meat chickens. in the next week we will make at least 4 little A frame chicken tractors so we can spread out their impact + work. this tractor we got for free (along with 2 others) from a homesteader whom was moving and downsizing their operation.
This garden is near the house and supplies the veggies and greens. The doves are on a moveable perch, so they fertilize the garden as the perch is moved. Extensive mulching and composting make this garden possible on pure hard clay soils.
