After being laid low for a while. thought i'd raid the archives.
IMG_3915: Taken on the north shore of Lake Superior. The pebble beach is really neat, and the way it sounds when you walk on it is very unique.

A big pebble in a strange suspension.-----------------------------------Un còdol entre troncs vora el Ter a Sant Joan de les Abadesses-Ripollès.
The Pebble beach some secret spot tween Ano Nuevo and Pescadero.
Just on this little tiny beach the shore is covered with multi-color rock pebbles. For some reason the pebbles crashing against shore molds the cliff into these strange crevice pockets where the pebbles get deposited. Nature Rules!!!
With an awesome sunset brewing and a cold, cold wind blowing, I decided not to take a trek to the beach level, instead shooting from the cliffs over Pebble beach. I just couldn't fathom a day off from my camera. Crescent City, California USA
It's actually snowing today - well, light flurries. Not enough to photograph, so I thought I would do a bit of indoor macro.
I remembered I had lots of coloured glass pebbles from my 'flower arranging' days, when I used to enter competitions etc.
Did a bit of cropping and just a little tweaking for artistic effect ....
Focus stack from 3 long exposure pictures (6 stops nd filter) processed in Photoshop. Samyang 12mm (f8 or f11 aperture..). I only had my pocket tripod with me, maybe the perspective would be better with a taller tripod.
Here's photo from a walk on Westbrok bay beach. I loved the light sparkling off the grains of coloured glass in the sand. The shadows left by the water draining back to the sea also added something nice.
Hope you enjoy too.

My watch, a Pebble Steel, for my new minifig :) Based on a SI-DAN watch.
The decal 'melted' into a dip in the face of the watch unfortunately, but in real life you can barely even see that there's writing anyway...
For scale reference, a UK 10p piece is about the same size as a US quarter.
Sometimes we are guilty of trying to cram everything in but this photograph is simply two small pebbles, sand and water.
This is a shot taken just off walney island. took a bit of effot to get across all the big bloody rocks to get to this location, bit of a pain realy.
i struggled to get anything i realy liked. but i think this was my favourate shot, although the big white pebble is blown out a little and is quite desracting i feel its 'ok'. i was quite annoyed at the calmness of the sea, so i couldnt get much out of the moving water over the pebbles too.
definatly better shots next time. . . . .and more waves
