The diggers are in and a part of Campbell Park, MK, has been flattened - so another bit of our green parkland is lost forever. This area by the Grand Union Canal (seen here with frozen water) is being developed for a mixture of leisure and "affordable housing" unquote. OK, Milton Keynes does have a housing problem but I suspect the many homeless people sleeping rough in our city will be in no position to afford homes and apartments in such a prime location...or is that just me being cynical perhaps? Having seen what's happened in parts of London, where only city fat cats can afford the absurd rents and mortgages, I can't see things being any different here. But I will be happy to be proved wrong...
Park Źródliska I, Łódź, Poland
XIX wieku ogród został podzielony, a jego zachodnią część (czyli zachodnie tereny – obecnego parku Źródliska II i zabudowań oddzielających parki) sprzedano fabrykantowi Karolowi Scheiblerowi.
Nazwa parku pochodzi od wielu źródeł, które znajdowały się na tym terenie.
Park Źródliska is the oldest park in Lodz. It was founded in 1840 and in the mid 19th century divided into two parts, from which the western one was sold to one of the textile factories owner, Karol Scheibler. That's why nowadays we have Park Źródliska I and Park Źródliska II. The name of the park, meaning "spring", "source of water", comes from many springs that could be found in this area.
Parks and gardens in Tokyo are in full bloom of cherry blossoms. It is said one goes insane under the cherry trees when all blossoms are at full bloom:
Indeed we all feel some unreal world coming down from the heaven at this time of the year :
The magic season has come !!

Parkwood is an 80-acre (320,000 m2) woodland 5 miles (8.0 km) east south east of Tenterden near Appledore.
A car park is along the Woodchurch Road, heading north from Appledore towards Brattle.
It is managed by Kent County Council's Country Parks service.[7] It is noted for its bluebells in spring and for nightingales. There are woodland walks and panoramic views over Appledore and Romney Marshes.
The woodland is frequently coppiced for various timber uses. Including oak thinnings being used in Shorne Wood Country Parks new visitor centre, as the window and roof joinery.[8]
The wood, is surrounded by three other woods, Great Heron Wood (to the North), Little Heron Wood (to the East) and Butness Wood (further to the East).
