First and foremost I want to say thanks for all the kind words that were sent my way about my dog passing away...very kind of all of you. Things are starting to get back to normal.

In my opinion this was by far the best waterfall shoot of 2010 for me. This place is just loaded with atmosphere, comps, and character. I love being down in this canyon and hearing nothing but the pounding of the water coming over the falls...

The Conditions were anything but ideal yesterday in Yosemite National Park. No sun, no snow, now amazing dramatic clouds, but on the upside, it was my birthday, I was in a National Park, and I had it ALL TO MYSELF!

Iâll say this, a bad day in Yosemite beats a good day most other places.

Cheers and Have a great weekend.

A few of you asked if I had a wider, horizontal view of my previous shot and so here it is. I personally prefer the vertical comp, which is rare for me, but this is still a wonderful view. :) I am heading out for Oregon in just a few minutes and won't be home until after Christmas so I want to wish everyone a Happy Holidays and I'll see you on the flipside.

This is the view of Zion National Park from the top of Angels Landing. This was the third time I tried to leave and had to turn back for one last view. It was a moment I didn't want end.

Can you believe how many people showed up for the fireworks show? I got there at 5:30 so I could get a good parking spot, and surprise, about 3000 other people had the same plan..:) And they just kept coming. The show didn't start until 9:30. To the left is the Austin Symphony Orchestra and they provided the music for the show.

under Congress Ave. bridge in Austin, TX

The Mexican Free-Tail Bats, that is. There are 1.5 million bats living under that bridge and they come out every evening after sunset. This is the trip I've been telling you about. I planned this trip for over a month. I check the cycles of the moon to make sure there would be a full moon rising, as the bat fly to the east when they come out. Well, everything was perfect, The moon came up right on time with very few clouds. I had a great lens, my batteries were charged and I was with my friend on a rented boat. The only problem was, unbeknownst to me, the bats have just had there young..So, they don't want to fly too far away and with all the rain we've had, there are plenty of bugs right there under the bridge.Oh well, I made the best of it. I got some great moon shots and skyline images, plus I was with friends and it was only 10 bucks each. I plan to do it again around the end of July or mid August. I just have to check the moon schedules again. I know there will be a full moon the end of July, but what's important is what time the moon comes up

I don't know the excact location, but tis picture was taken on the San Juan Skyway between Silverton and Durango in Colorado.
