Can't get enough of these architectural characters abandoned on our Canadian prairies, especially against the backdrop of a dramatic sky. (3 exposure, 2 stops, HDR)
The whole building is in ruins, a magnificent fresco depicting a Holy Deposition deteriorated and badly damaged. No public institution has intervened to save this heritage of art and history. But politicians participating in many meetings where we talk about revival of tourism that is falling in my valley. Perhaps art is not an invitation for tourists ?

I just like this empty falling apart old building. I also used it for the background on my Halloween image. I thought it had enough personality to stand on it's own. What do you think?

This is Luster sanatorium, Sogn and Fjordane. Lies 500 meters above the lustra fjord. Abaounded for almost 30 years. In September this year they will start the restoring process and hopefully it will become a spa hotel and restaurant in 2020. The horror movie villmark 2 is recorded here in 2015
