So I completely failed when it comes to uploading my 365. I've been taking photos every day, but I just haven't been able to keep up with the uploading side of things. The main reason is because I've been travelling a lot, and my MacBook has been out of commission for a few months… so when I travel, I can't work on photos. I just had the battery replaced, but it has too many problems after being dropped multiple times and having the screen shattered and fixed. It's now just a MacBook for movies, TV, music, and internet browsing. Thus, my iMac is my only work computer - and seriously - who can go from a 27" to a 13" when editing photos?! I've been spoiled, haha.
So far with my 365, I've been learning a lot about myself and what I truly like to photograph. I'm a landscape and adventure photographer at heart; it's where I find the most inspiration, the most adrenaline, and the most drive to continue getting better. I also love conceptual work, and I'm getting more into it as I become less and less camera shy (since I have no models to work with right now). I also REALLY love macro shooting. I have a vast collection of fossils and minerals - and some are thumbnail specimens - to which the crystal structures are extremely small and need a macro to capture their wonderful beauty.
I will probably upload all my 365 photos still, but basically the uploading will always be sporadic due to my schedule right now.
Anyway, here's a photo from Florida last summer that I just edited.
And on one last note, I'm trying to afford some new gear. L Series lenses by Canon (macro, wide angle, telephoto, etc) are most needed so I can continue pursuing photography. I have some work up for sale on Society6* that are currently $5 bucks off AND free shipping! By purchasing prints, all the profits go towards new gear, and you getting awesome photos for your room.
* My Society6 is mainly for mobile photography and a few DSLR shots. Any of my other photos that are on my Tumblr, Flickr, etc are also for sale, and some are limited edition prints. If you're interested in any of my photos that aren't up on S6, please send me an email! I'm working on getting a new website/store up, which will make it easier to purchase limited edition and non-limited edition prints.

I finally ventured over to visit this little lighthouse. I was completely unimpressed but because I've photographed it from a distance so often, I felt it deserved a shot. So here it is, the Fort Amherst Lighthouse in all of its glory! :-)
this time it is a sunset capture from North Beach... i really like the ocean waters washing over the rocks scattered throughout the frame in wonderful cascades...

It was a spur of the moment decision last night to rush out and catch the sunset. After getting home from work I was tempted to give it a miss but looking at the weekend weather forecast realised it was probably the best opportunity. Boy am I glad I did!
After finding a spot on the rocks at Heybrook Bay I thought I'd made a mistake, the sun was hidden behind clouds and the sky didn't turn colour until after the sun has disappeared behind the headland. When the sky did turn though I was treated to an incredible show of colour.
After getting some longer exposures of the choppy water to begin with, I thought I'd find a calmer spot and take my camera off the tripod for a lower POV closer to the water.
I welcome your comments, both positive and constructive.

calm Pacific Ocean shot from sky off the coast of Islands of Indonesia. The calm ocean surface perfectly reflects the clouds above it, more on www.kaisernchen.com/blog/ or www.facebook.com/kaisern.chen

A stream flowing into the Pacific at Ocean Beach is a rare sight -- happens only after after a very high tide creates a lagoon high up on the beach.
Hope everyone has a great Thursday. Thanks, as always, for stopping by and for all of your kind comments.
