I decided to slow things up, attached about 6 stops of ND grads and was able to get about 3/4 of a second which was just about right. I watched the surge in this area and decided this spot seemed to have a channel that generated very obvious water movement. I was in about 3' of water here and did have to really lean on the tripod for both stability for myself but also to try and steady the camera. This image has bit of the dreamy almost surreal look wich I seem to gravitate too.
all C & C is welcome
We made it to the shore Wednesday afternoon and had our lobster rolls (yum) followed by a long walk along the beach. It was beautiful after all the rain! We are so lucky to live less than 2 hours away from the ocean :-)
Dry Tortugas National Park is one of the more interesting parks I've ever visited. I would like to spend more time here, especially to camp out on the beach for sunrise and sunset. On this trip we only spent the afternoon, and so I settled for pictures marked by the unsettled and moody weather. This shot is taken from the walkway surrounding Fort Jefferson. A little more to share on that later. If you look closely, you can see the Dry Tortugas Light, some 3 miles in the distance.
'The Dry Tortugas are a small group of islands, located at the end of the Florida Keys, USA, about 67 miles (108 km) west of Key West, and 37 miles (60 km) west of the Marquesas Keys, the closest islands. Still further west is the Tortugas Bank, which is completely submerged. The first Europeans to discover the islands were the Spanish in 1513, led by explorer Juan Ponce de León. They are an unincorporated area of Monroe County, Florida, and belong to the Lower Keys Census County Division. With their surrounding waters, they constitute the Dry Tortugas National Park.' wiki

Oh, and I
Wouldn't lie
Wanna be your
I buried bones, I borrowed skin
To save me from the hell I'm in
Your fantasy
And every time I think of you
I see the dark, I hear their hooves
They're coming
They're coming for you

Hi All..
I have been a bit amiss lately.. but I have come down with some friends to the Great Ocean Road to get some wonderful views and scenery to recharge my batteries.
This is the view from Loch Ard Gorge on the fantastic Great Ocean Road in Victoria..
I was the only one out here this morning enjoying the great view and the soft colours on the sunrise.. nothing to spectacular.. but true to its name..

On an early morning Gorge walk at Point Lookout Nth Stradbroke Island I had the luck and pleasure to capture this shot, which I think you will agree is pretty cool, a real turnon :-) The zen sayings over the centuries below are pretty cool too:
The wave is free when it realizes it is part of the sea. – Zen Saying
Limitless and immortal, the waters are the beginning and end of all things on earth. – Heinrich Zimmer
In one drop of water are found all the secrets of the oceans. – Kahlil Gibran
The ocean and the speeding boat out on the ocean aligned nicely for this capture :))
Pemaquid. Maine
sunlight on the rocks coast of Maine. First time trying out ND filter. definitely takes getting used to. I'll have to practice with it more.
This was taken on the magical beach below the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon in Iceland. I was fascinated by all the ice formations that washed ashore on this stormy spring day. Thought about doing b&w since there was not much going on in the sky. But i really liked how blue the ice in the water gave some contrast so decided color was the way to go.
Thanks for looking! will be stopping by soon :)
I know i know, it's been a while. I thought i'd at least pop in to wish everyone a happy easter and hope they enjoy their break.
