Side view of the ocean waves crashing ashore at York, Maine. The sun was fighting to break through the clouds, and for this capture was shining a little on the wet rocks.
Yes ... me and the tripod were getting very wet ... and yes I nearly broke my foot maneuvering there in those extremely slippery rocks. Considering this was on the first day of our summer trip to Maine, it would not have been good had I really broke it. I ended up being very ginger on it for most of the week that followed in Pemaquid, Acadia, and Lubec.
hey everyone! so last week, i was at the la flickr gathering and let me tell you, it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. i don't even have words for how wonderful it was to meet all these talented people. i was pretty intimidated to shoot while i was there because i am so used to shooting by myself in complete seclusion. but, on new years day, a small group of us woke up at 5:30 in the morning and went to these beautiful cliffs on the ocean and i started to come out of my shell more and even though i never shot my own concept, i did second shoot one and this is it. this is morey's idea and set up and katherine modeled for us. they are just two of the great people i met this past week and saying goodbye to everyone was so hard.
this was the best new years of my life and it was a beautiful way to start of 2013. i have so many things planned for this year and i'm making a lot of big decisions in my life. even though i didn't walk away from this with a whole bunch of amazing photographs, i walked away with so much more.
Must be here at high tide to see this, and dodge some waves at times.Water comes in from below the hole and over iit. Mostly rock on the beach here...watch your footing....

Had a shocker of a night on my last shoot, so much spray from the waves and flare from that which messed up many of my pics- & couldn't find any spot I liked and when i did the tide washed over it ultra fast, this is about it (hope you like it) and it took a while to remove the spray from the sky, oh well some days!!! Don't have a lot of time for any photo stuff sadly at the moment flat out with some major changes all round so sorry of I haven't caught up with everyone, I will try but may not be on line until next week-if not enjoy your weekends all.

i have a (metaphorical) stack of images waiting, begging for my attention. my little summer travel stint hasn't left much time to work on anything except commissioned work.
i stared at this for hours (which is almost Never a good idea) and i never felt totally satisfied with the way it turned out. i hate when that happens. lots more on the way though considering i get my act together. =)
