A night time (10.45pm) view of downtown Manhattan and Jersey City financial district from the boardwalk at the Liberty Harbor marina. My last post was a view of the actual marina which is west of this spot on the boardwalk.

- Manual blending of 4 exposures (2/8/15/30 sec) in Photoshop. 2 exposures at f/7.1 ISO 400, 2 at f/5.7 ISO 800.
- RAW files first tuned for white balance, contrast, saturation and clarity
- Layer of curves for contrast
- Layer of saturation to adjust the tones on the buildings and breakwaters
- Layer of unsharp mask for the buildings at the end

Here's another photo from Central Park.
I went apple picking today and completely overdosed on apples ... I had apple cider, spiked apple cider, apple flavored beer, apple donuts, and apples. I don't think I can eat anymore apples for the rest of this month...

Not even in my dreams in thought that i would see New York city reflections like that on a one day trip. i was trying at different location along the river but wasn't too happy with the results. finally when i stopped at the chart house restaurant in Weehawken, New Jersey and saw the whole river like a reflecting mirror. i know i had to capture this beauty to its fullest.

on a normal day by looking at the big river its hard to believe that it can be so calm once in a while that it becomes a big mirror for these beautiful reflection.

I drove to this place couple of times hoping for this view and finally my last trip paid off. i knew i had to capture this beauty before it disappears.

ok so not that i am saying there is something wrong with Photoshop and SOOC is something special. but this shot is not actually 100% SOOC but whatever processing i tried it didn't look any better. so i said forget it i will just take it. processing is fun but sometimes you just wish otherwise :)

This is New York. An ocean of endless human beings. Just amazes you how they all fit here until you hit the road which makes sure that you stop, take a peak at every corner and building that has an amazing architecture. i think it is impossible to capture New York skyline in just one photo. New York Skyline as seen from chart house restaurant, Weehawken, New Jersey.
btw if you are wondering what happened to my "Fall Color" photos, just hang in there. trust me they are coming and a lot of them . i got a hold of a helicopter which will fly me around in a 700 miles radius in New England so i can go and take photos. lol. i am not opening my eyes.
