I had posted this picture about a week ago to use in the F64 Contest. It won, but I was eliminated in a subsequent round. For those of you who like a little competition ... try F64 Challenge . It is a head to head photo competition where you post against other members of the group in a March Madness bracket type arrangement. The members vote. The group is very professionally run, and the pictures are of a high quality. You will also meet new people.

But, I also want to use this picture to promote another new project -- The Artist's Interview Nook . The intent of the group is to have a featured artist (a member of the group) or guest featured artist (someone not from the group who is recruited) each week or so to be interviewed about photography and flickr and life. Pineapple has agreed to be the first Featured Artist. The Group is slated to open on March 22. Go, join, play along and learn about your fellow flickrers.

Last ... well, self-promotion is so cliche. So, in case any other part of this shot fails ...

Brooklyn Museum -- Brooklyn -- New York

Another minimalist shot, this one from the Brooklyn Museum, NY. I like the combination of curves and straight lines.

Thank you for your visit and all of your support. Have a great Tuesday!

Taken during my recent visit to The Brooklyn Museum. This is an amazing museum in many ways!

'Passageway' On White

Spent the day exploring the Brooklyn Museum for the first time in at least a decade. Lots of interesting things to shoot in there. Tripods aren't allowed so it's a bit of a challenge getting a clean sharp shot with a composition of your choice. (Interesting that they don't have a problem with you just leaving your camera on the floor for a shot).

A photo of "Revolutionary", a painting by Wadsworth A. Jarrell on display at the Brooklyn Museum.

Brooklyn Museum of Art. Exhibition of works by Ghanian artist El Anatsui. These monumental floor and wall sculptures are assembled from massive amounts of found 'detritus' such as bottle caps, tin cans, etc. One of the best shows I've ever seen here.

Looks like the woman in the painting is checking out her audience.

Sally couldn't believe what she discovered peering through the hole of a broken goose egg.

Having trouble keeping up with flickr life.

Very dramatic setting for Charles Cary Rumsey's bronze sculpture "The Dying Indian". The sculpture had been stored behind a fence for years with other architectural fragments.
