This is very iconic Norwegian. (But very far from my everyday life) These are the same kind of horses that the Norwegian vikings used.

Taken in Norway Henningsvaer in the evening light

I went to Tromso of 2 hours north by plane from the Norwegian capital Oslo.

Tromso is located in the Arctic Circle.

Aurora although I thought that the green light of the curtain is wavering,

Shape also was different even brightness every time. Soft light of the aurora looks like a white cloud with the naked eye.

It was unleashed for the first time the green light to take the photograph.

AAW November 14 - 21: Fab Four

WIT: It was the first snow flurry of the season, when I ventured out to get a picture of the Norwegian-like wood. The "noise" is actually the snow coming down and blowing around. In post, desaturated a bit, and cropped to 8 by 10.

Ålesund (Norwegian pronunciation: [ˇoːləsʉn] (listen)) is a municipality in Møre og Romsdal County, Norway. It is part of the traditional district of Sunnmøre and the centre of the Ålesund Region. The town of Ålesund is the administrative centre of Ålesund Municipality, as well as the principle shipping town of the Sunnmøre district. The town is a sea port and is noted for its concentration of Art Nouveau architecture. Although sometimes internationally spelled by its older name Aalesund, this spelling is obsolete in Norwegian. However, the local football club Aalesunds FK still carries that spelling, having been founded before the official change.

A warm sunrise light covering the mountain peaks cast a golden reflection across the thin layer of ice on the surface of Lake Nakkevatnet, Norway.

During the ice ages, deep valleys and narrow inlets filled with ocean water, creating the natural wonders that the modern world often refers to as fjords. Although there are many fjords across the globe, the ones that grace the Norwegian coastline reign as the most popular because of their astonishing beauty. Hundreds of cruise ships bring tourists to Norway every year to experience these marvelous inlets. However, the mountains and villages surrounding the Norwegian fjords also offer many incredible sights and adventures.

Bryggen (Norwegian, "The Wharf" ), also known as Tyskebryggen ; ("the German Wharf") is a series of Hanseatic commercial buildings lining the eastern side of the fjord coming into Bergen, Norway.

Bryggen was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1979.

The city of Bergen was founded in 1070. In 1360 a Kontor of the Hanseatic League was established there, and as the town developed into an important trading centre, the wharfs were improved. The administrative buildings of Bryggen housed clerks from many areas, especially Germany. The main trade was dried cod from Northern Norway in return for cereals from mainland Europe.

Saw this shipwreck along the coast on the way to the fishing village of Bud.In the 16th and 17th century Bud was the biggest trading post between Bergen and Trondheim. The last meeting of the national council in Norway was held here in 1533 under the leadership of Archbishop Olav Engelbrektsson. Today, Bud is still an active and charming fishing village with several good fish restaurants.

Lindesnes (English: the Naze) is a municipality in Vest-Agder county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Sørlandet. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Vigeland. Other villages in Lindesnes include Åvik, Høllen, Skofteland, Svenevig, and Vigmostad.

Bjørnsund is a small archipelago located between Kristiansund and Molde, on the southern end of a weather-beaten and dangerous coastal stretch called Hustadvika. Here we find two ancient fishing villages, Søre (Southern) and Nordre (Northern) Bjørnsund, and the light house island, Moøya. The islands once played a central role in the coastal fairway and are situated close to rich fishing grounds. In 1930, 616 persons lived on the islands, but modernization of the fishing industry, lack of drinking water and governmental centralisation policies led to the decision to depopulate them in 1971.

Bjørnsund lies exposed to the Norwegian ocean, and enjoys beautiful scenery and offers well-maintained houses, gardens, piers and protected harbours. Today the village dwellings are used as summerhouses. During the spring and autumn, the Fræna municipality runs a camp school on Northern- Bjørnsund, where around 1500 twelve to fourteen year-old pupils stay for a school week to learn about marine biology, local culture and history, as well as how to row and fish
