In the fast lane at Nobbys Beach yesterday. Amazing how many people finish their day off with doing this walk / run at this beautiful part of the day. I tried to capture that.

This is a repost of a shot I took in Feb 2012. Now that I have Lightroom it looks a whole lot better. The shot was taken from Queens Wharf Brewery on Newcastle Harbour

Even got the thumbs up for composition from this guy! Stopped at Newcastle on the way home from the Hunter Valley attending a concert. Last time I was in Newcastle was back in the late 70's. I had parked the car down by the surf life saving pavilion and intended to walk to Nobbys Lighthouse. But once up at the lighthouse, I saw the breakwater. So I had to go explore. Well. Around two kilometres later, I reached the end. Some interesting sculptures along the breakwater. And this one seemed fitting with the thumbs up as a appreciation for a perfect composition.

The clouds and sunset around Nobbys Lighthouse were incredible at sunset

Still going through some of my old folders and finding photos that I had missed. This one was taken on one of my last shoots in Newcastle before moving back to QLD. An sunset over Newcastle Harbour from Horseshoe Bay. This shot picking up the subtle sunset colours behind Nobbys Lighthouse..

This is Newcastle Harbour with pilot boats in front of Nobbys Lighthouse. Was hoping to catch a decent sunrise but was a tad disapointed.

I have overcooked this purposefully, just for fun. I loved the vibrant colours that I started to see as I played around in Photoshop.

Nobbys Head Lighthouse taken at the Newcastle Sundance sunrise photo shoot at Nobbys Lighthouse Newcastle, Australia.

The present lighthouse was established on Nobbys Head in 1854, which was then a small isolated coastal islet just off Signal Head.

It was only the third lighthouse built in NSW after the Macquarie Light in 1818 and the Hornby Light that was also built in 1858. More here - www.lighthouse.net.au/lights/nsw/Nobbys%20Head/Nobbys%20H...

Met up with the Newcastle Sundance Group to soot the Pacific Sun entering the Newcastle Harbour. This shot is taken from Stockton looking over to Nobby's Lighthouse.

The Pacific Sun arrived way too early for a good shot, But I was happy with this one.

It was great meeting you all - Sundancers ; and I look forward to seeing you again soon!
