from wikipedia ...

The Whirlpool Aero Car or Aero Car is a cable car located in Niagara Falls, Ontario that transports passengers over a section of the Niagara River referred to as the Niagara Whirlpool.

The system was designed by Spaniard Leonardo Torres Quevedo and upgraded since 1916 (1961, 1967 and 1984).

The system uses one car that carries 35 standees over 1 kilometre trip.

The car originally was open, but a roof has been added to all later designs.

A four person rescue car is available (a smaller white car stored at opposite end in an indoor area), but not used in regular service.

Although the trip is on the Canadian side, it crosses over US side part way into the Whirlpool (about 500 feet (150 m) from the starting point and for about 200 feet (61 m)), but passengers do not require passport clearance. ( ... because it's not possible to get off -- FrHwo )

The car operates from 10am to 5pm from second week of March to first week of November. It is closed during most of the winter due to ice and snow.

Spent some time exploring Niagara Falls. This is the view from the American side at night.

My camera never worked well after this shot, Too much water!!

Had to bye a new one.

bring me some rainbow

Taken from a deck around the Cave Of The Wind area.

The splashing water and rocks in the foreground are the bottom of the American Falls. The tall structure partly obscured by the mist is the observation tower. On the left is the Rainbow bridge, actually much further back that it appears, connecting between US and Canada sides.

American Falls, Niagara Falls.

I didn't take this picture but a friend of mine sent it off to me and I believe it is from a hotel webcam. Not sure which one, as there are several operating here in Niagara. Simply Beautiful. There is no snow or ice near the falls as the temperatures are warm. A "must see" on your bucket list of life.

Triciclo ....

Andando ...

A praia deserta soprando gotinhas de ar...

Vapor, orvalho,

vento molhado...

E eu passeando

ou quem sabe,

de bicicleta

ou de mãos dadas,

o vento

o orvalho

ou até quem sabe...

Seus beijinhos

no rostinho molhado....

While on a business trip to Toronto, I was lucky enough to get to see Niagara Falls for the first time in my life.

An Autumn shot of the American Falls at Niagara Falls. Click on the photo to enlarge it.

The lights on the Falls from under the observation tower. Would be nice if we could get out there at night. Five exposures bracketed at 1EV centered around 8s.
