I haven't posted a fence shot in a long time, but we recently moved earlier this month and our neighbors fence caught my attention.

Happy Fence Friday!

"9:00pm. July, 2009. From my backporch on a lovely rainy night. It is quiet here. Park Manor neighborhood, south side, Chicago, Il." ~ View On Black

This is a re-process, Oct. 2009. This is another one of those images that popped up in my daily random 20 set. It was one of my first hdr attempts. You can see my flash fill in the 2nd floor window across the alley from me. HDR doesn't mean "no" controls, just 3 - 9 exposures. The original posting is below. Clear up the color cast, improved wandering contrast, added a ttv texture, reduced some noise while selectively sharpening, added a border and shadow. A nip here, a tuck there. Much improved. It is the little things that can mean a lot.

As some of these images start showing up in my daily random 20 set, I will do things with them and show the before and after results. We shouldn't be embarrased by our earlier attempts at artistic or psd skills and the growth we've expereinced with time and effort, (although we have every right to be). :-)

Almost no one will have seen this as I never posted it in any pools. Perhaps I knew it would/could get better.
