We need to find God, and He cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature -- trees, flowers, grass -- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence. We need silence to be able to touch souls.

Beautiful countryside

美麗鄉村小道

When was the last time

You walked along a trail

Deep into the forest

And smelled the

Fresh breeze around you?

Does the path you take

Take you to where

You really want to go,

Or is it the one you took

Just because everyone else did too.

It's good to lead your own

And sometimes it’s okay to get lost

Lost in the beauty of nature

It gives you a renewed perspective

And makes you appreciate better the beauty around you.

Happy Gorgeous Green Thursday! :)

Seen on Explore Front Page. Thanks y'all! :)

What nature delivers to us is never stale. Because what nature creates has eternity in it.

One more landscape shot for you to see today ..... for after a visit to the Tetons, it can turn any photographer into a landscape junkie .... for it has the most amazing and spectacular views imaginable!

Jackson Lake is an amazing lake within the boundaries of Grand Teton NP in Wyoming. This lake is one of the largest high altitude lakes in the US, with it's 6,772' elevation above sea level. It's 15 mi long and 7 mi wide. Jackson Lake is a natural lake created by glaciers and primarily gets it's water from the Snake River. However, the top 33' of this lake are not natural and a result of the creation of the Jackson Lake Dam in 1911.

This is another of one of those "I'm so insignificant" moments ... meaning this area is so vast and I'm simply a tiny player in the midst of it all. Very humbling and can certainly orient and re-ground someone. Ahh, we wished we could sit here forever - for the day as you can see was gorgeous and though the morning was quite nippy, the day warmed up nicely.

Though we have many more shots from our recent trip, starting tomorrow, I will begin to "mix it up" a bit with shots from other areas as well.

Thanks so much for your visits to the photostream and especially for all of your comments. I love sharing our photos with all of you, but really love reading all of your stories and thoughts as well!

Happy Hump Day!
