Another shot of the icebergs in the Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon in Iceland. They should be wonderful shades of blue but a week before I set off to Iceland there was an eruption at the Grimsvotn volcano, the ash rather spoilt the colour scheme though it does look quite dramatic

This is from my trip over the weekend to Green Lakes in Central OR with my son. I did not think I would be back here this soon after last summer since it's a beautiful place but kind of limited on photographic comps I feel, once you get some keepers like I was fortunate enough to get last time. However, with the report that 70% of the area was still under snow I wanted to go back and see what I could shoot with some ice covered shore banks. I was thinking there would be other backpackers on this fine weather holiday weekend but there was only one we noticed the next moring way off in the distance. Pretty much had this Three Sisters Wildernss jewel to ourselves much to my surprise.
Anyway, this is a pretty simple shot and I chose the mirror 1/2 and 1/2 since I don't often see clouds that seem to frame the mountains where no cloud is actually touching the mountain. I felt a foreground element might have detracted from this not to mention the sky was not an endless cloud bank and any wider of a shot there would be open sky in instead of cloud framing. I do have some taken shortly after this with some FG icy shores but they have much less clouds so not sure I will post one, we shall see. Thanks in advance for all comments.
