My #sx70 or the #silvershade doesn't like low temperature. Like last Tuesday my shot failed. Too cold outside. And even a warm armpit didn't help. I wanted to share the awesome place we visited today. In search of two cupboards for the bedroom we ended up in this warehouse full of old furniture. Yesterday was a sad day. We sad farewell to my uncle. He passed away last week. It was hard to see the grief in my family. Listening to his music and hearing the words written about him made me think back about losing my mother. Losing a parent is tough and age doesn't make any difference. Before my first filmjob ever I had lunch with my friend Chungmei, @lovecookies. Lunch was delicious. I filmed Chungmei's workshop with some lovely kids. Never filmed before and I don't know yet if I was succesful. I was just the stand in for the real camera woman who couldn't make it at almost the last moment. It was fun and exciting. Today was a bright and sunny day. Perfect for a blue sky shot. So I thought. On my way to lunch with my friend this view caught my eye. The red was much brighter for real than in this shot. The 'faded' feel suites the building though, because it is really old. We took Piet to the orthopedic specialist today. Last week Piet started limping again, for the third time in two months. This time he's also got a wound on his arm. The vet had a look inside Piet's arm to find the spot that showed on the x-ray last December. But it was impossible to remove the spot. It is almost too small for the eye to see and it seemed to be moving too. So we went home again with Piet and a little arm taped from elbow to toe. The wound needs healing and hopefully the spot will comprise itself so that it can be removed. Having a short break in between films at #iffr. Today was our last day with four films, and our best day so far. Loved the Japanese Romeo & Julia version'For Loves Sake', a brilliant heist in 'Wasteland' & an absurd 'Spring Breakers'. Only one of four wasn't that great. Now it's back to normal life. Plan has changed. Plumber came today. And left again without plumbing. To get the floor waterproof first we need to dig out a lot more clay. Then put drainage and sand in. And then it's time for pipes and stuff. Last is putting a concrete floor on top. I lost my courage today. @mahieu kept on digging. Wow! Today my 2013 365 Polaroid project, #mylifeinpolaroid, is featured on The Impossible Project blog. It feels like the icing on the cake. Of course I knew the post would come, because I wrote it a while ago. But being featured on the last day of 2014, what a great way to close 2014! After thinking a lot about next year’s Polaroid project I feel I need to stick to My Life in the Country. Don't know what happened. Shot, silence, Polaroid rolling out and nothing. The film got stuck and overexposed. Maybe it says something about the stuff that's happening lately. After having tested three of my #sx70's it's time to test my orange one. Put a new filmpack in yesterday. And took a first shot at the garden centre. Strangest thing happened. I took a shot. Nothing happened. When I turned it up to have a look at the lens the photo suddenly got out. Surprise, got a selfie, yay! Same happened today. Not sure what is the problem, but I like this shot.
