The smokers club. You can call them that. Every birthday at my dad's home the same group of family gather outside at the front door to smoke together. Luckily there are only three smokers left in my family, my uncle, @mahieu & my aunt. My aunt said tonight 'There's no better smoker than a happy smoker'. Well, I don't smoke so I wouldn't know. But I know that once in a while family secrets are revealed while smoking. Bonds seem to be forged at our front door. Before my first filmjob ever I had lunch with my friend Chungmei, @lovecookies. Lunch was delicious. I filmed Chungmei's workshop with some lovely kids. Never filmed before and I don't know yet if I was succesful. I was just the stand in for the real camera woman who couldn't make it at almost the last moment. It was fun and exciting. You wouldn't say but this should be some wild hyacinths in the garden. I used this photo to test one of the new cameras. It came out with the darkslide, still in the dark room. I put it back in the pack and in Sweet Blue. In the light my hands and cameras were covered in chemicals. All got clean again and I had an adventerous afternoon. This photo couldn't be saved though. I'm way behind in posting #mylifeinpolaroid photos. My scanner and computer are covered in dust from the renovation. (Yes, I've used a plastic curtain). I'll post three at a time to catch up. Some are really good. Blackie is a tough guy but still finds the stuff going on hard. He lost his voice. Diagnosis is a troat infection. My heart breaks to see him talk but no sound is coming out. You might wonder why I've pointed the camera on @mahieu this way. No inpropriate ideas when shooting this. We went for building materials, brought some building stuff to the recycle station and stopped at McDonalds. It's hard to see. 360/365 The day after. The day that this work of art has found a place on the bed. It looks gorgeous. I made about 30 granny squares and my stepmom Dicky made the rest of the 600+ squares. The renovation of our house spoiled the fun of working on this beauty. Unbelievable that Dicky made this in 9 months only. Amazing work. I realize with sadness that there are only five days left of my Polaroid adventure. A perfect night for a bbq with friends from the Hidden Garden Weekend. As 2013 (after seven years) was probably the last year our garden participated we invited them as a thank you for the hard work they do as a team. We took Piet to the orthopedic specialist today. Last week Piet started limping again, for the third time in two months. This time he's also got a wound on his arm. The vet had a look inside Piet's arm to find the spot that showed on the x-ray last December. But it was impossible to remove the spot. It is almost too small for the eye to see and it seemed to be moving too. So we went home again with Piet and a little arm taped from elbow to toe. The wound needs healing and hopefully the spot will comprise itself so that it can be removed.
