The music wall in Minneapolis can use a touch up. But it is indeed one of my favorite things to look at while walking around.

Hey Mister D.J.
Put a record on
I wanna dance with my baby
And when the music starts
I never wanna stop
It's gonna drive me crazy

One and Two-day-old newborn babies listen to music with headphones at the 1st Private Hospital in eastern Slovak metropol of Kosice-Saca 11 August 2005. The experimental program that started approximetly two years ago, is based on using musical therapy in improving the quality of caring for the newborns shortly after the birth. This project helps to stimulate the communication, adaptation and ease the stress after the birth. Presently there are thirty newborn babies daily undergoing five sessions of twenty minutes each, when they listen to a variety of musical genres from classical to easy listening. AFP PHOTO JOE KLAMAR
This weeks theme is "My Passion" and I thought I would share a little of my passion for music. A lot of you know that I am a musician, and play drums, and I love that part of it, but what really got me there in the first place, is the way that music seems to connect with our hearts and souls. It's amazing to me how a song can make you feel better, or make you cry, and the way it can take you back in time to certain places and events of your lives. So, with a theme like this, I wanted to share a few of my favorite songs. I have so many favorite songs, that these are just a sample....but I hope if you take the time to listen to a few, maybe I will get to share some of this emotion with you : )
U2 is my "favorite" band, if there is such a thing. Their music and lyrics have gotten me through some of the toughest times in my life, and really lifted my spirits. I could list so many of their songs here, but this is my very favorite:

Can you hear the music?
Can you feel the magic hanging in the air?
Can you feel the magic?
When I hear the drummer, gets me in the groove
When I hear the guitar, makes me want to move
Can you feel the magic, floating in the air?
When you hear the music troubles disappear
When you hear the music ringing in your ears
Can you feel the magic floating in the air?
Can you hear the music?

Music has inspired generations for centuries. I hold music disc jockeys in high regard for their dedication to the art of music.
“Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul.”
Cause through thick and thin it was and will be there to make you smile, dance, cry, think......
Once music saved my life and now I can't live without.
