Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, University of Cambridge. Poet Hollie McNish at the Festival of Ideas. This is the first time I tried a zoom effect for a portrait. Third, and final, in this "Zoom" mini series. I've tried this effect a few times, when I get a little bored with the "usual".

The technique is simple. You need a zoom lens! Zoom right in. As you press the shutter, zoom out! That's it:-) A bit of trial and error involved. Works sometimes, hopeless most of the times!
