Store window golden boys. Very flam. They had a couple for sale at this thrift shop, only $850.00,hurry!
I've been after some like these for ages now, and today I popped into a charity shop, and voila!
For the September MSH - Flamboyant
Day 173 of A Duck a Day.
For the dog, darling, who just wouldn't be seen chewing on any ordinary chew toy.
This Green Heron had just landed on the branch with his crest raised. It went back down flat within a couple seconds, so I was lucky to be ready for him so i could capture his "flamboyant hairstyle".
Monthly Scavenger Hunt: Flamboyant
I really like the false perspective shots that Michael Herb has taken and I wanted to see if I could do the same thing. This is a composite of three shots: the hand/bottle close up; the main shot of me; and the derelict background.
Strobist for bottle shot: Canon 570EXII in a 60" umbrella as fill (camera right), Yongnuo YN560 in an Ezybox as key (camera left), bounce flash (bounced off the floor into a 5-in-1) to light the bottom of the hand.
Strobist for me shot: Canon 570EXII in a 60" umbrella as fill (camera right), Yongnuo YN560 in an Ezybox as key (camera left), pair of Canon 480EXIIs back left and back right as rim. Triggered by Yongnuo 603s.
Lorikeet feeding at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, Gold Coast, Australia.
Today we woke early (again - this getting light at 6am thing means its been hard to sleep in!), so by 10.30am, we had already cruised down to Coolangatta / Tweed Heads, stood in two states at once and had an ice-cream on the lookout at Pt Danger.
To fill in the rest of the day, we decided to visit Currumbin, and we recommend it to ANYONE. We had our photos taken with a koala and a baby crocodile, wandered around a bit, almost got attacked by an evil-looking emu that took exception to my camera lens, and completed and adventure course.
This is a slight crop, but thats it.

My friends and I went op-shopping and these are some of the items we brought back with us. Left to right: she always wears short and black, she's not one for dressing up and just needed something to wear to work, she lives on a farm...and then there's me. Flamboyant is the last word I'd typically use to describe myself, but when compared to this lot's styles, I sorta stood out.
PS. Please pay no heed to Lisa's flamboyant finger. :-p
This is a fairly new business here in Callao. It used to be in a very large building in Reedville, but she has downsized to this tiny place. She did paint it with pizazz, though, don't you think? Makes it appear that she is celebrating the move.

I'm not sure what kind of bird this is, but with all the bright colors and the mohawk, it's definitely flamboyant.

We went to an abandoned turnpike for a bikeride a couple weeks ago. There was alot of colorful graffiti to be had!
It's also flamboyant - "strikingly bold or brilliant; showy: flamboyant colors"
Beverley is blinking posh ... they stick framed paintings up all over town.
I'm guessing the council had a load of money left and they needed to spend, spend, spend to guarantee next year's budget.
On July 7, the Pride parade took place here in Prince George. It was actually much more than a parade as there was an event that took place over the course of a few days with dances, gatherings etc. After the parade, there was a festival of sorts that took place on the front lawn of City Hall. This is Electronica who put on quite a show on the steps of City Hall... :)
Monthly Scavenger Hunt: 4. Flamboyant
Although I behave in a quite reserved way in my personal life, give me a stage and I'll be as flamboyant as I can. And no I didn't land on my back or stomach. msh0912-04

Some might say flamboyant, but I say FUN!!! A few of my friends at the Do Dah Day parade in Birmingham, Alabama which raises money for the Greater Birmingham Humane Society.

Monthly Scavenger Hunt September 2012: "Flamboyant"
the figures on stage are the Heritage dancers who yisit Llangollen every year, I remember the little boys as tots in the competitors parade looking sooo cute, and always enjoying the day.
I,m putting it in this month's flamboyant category as I mistagged it last month and it didn't get a showing.
Pretty much a new record for leaving it to the last minute this month, but it was fun getting this set together.
