CINECITTA' (Italian for Cinema City) is a large film studio in Rome that is considered the hub of Italian cinema.

The studios were founded in 1937 by Benito Mussolini and his head of cinema Luigi Freddi for propaganda purposes, under the slogan "Il cinema è l'arma più forte" (Cinema is the most powerful weapon). The studios were bombed by the Western Allies during World War II. In the 1950s, Cinecittà was the filming location for several large American film productions like Ben-Hur, and then became the studio most closely associated with Federico Fellini.

After a period of near-bankruptcy in the 1980s, Cinecittà was privatized by the Italian government.

On August 9, 2007, a fire destroyed about 3000 m² (32,000 sq. ft.) of the Cinecittà lot and surroundings. The historic part that houses the sets of classics such as Ben-Hur were not damaged, however a good portion of the original sets from the HBO/BBC series Rome were destroyed.

California's famous Alabama Hills are known to be the backdrop for countless movies, including some of the most famous Westerns. And with Mt. Whitney looming in the background, it's no wonder this has been picked as a prime location.

Took a weekend trip down to the Mojave Desert a few weekends ago. Stumbled upon this awesome movie set as the sun was setting.

”Play it again Sam”

The truth is my real passion is movies: bad movies, art movies, class “b”, horror movies, chick flicks, you name it.

I love the thrill when I’m sitting at the movie theater and the lights goes down. For 2 hrs (sometimes more, sometimes less) I have the chance of being the bad guy or the good guy (and get the girl at the very end). I cry, laugh, sing, and get a little bit scared or angry (why not).

I hope someday I’ll have the money to continue studying filmmaking and someday, maybe someday I’ll make one myself.

Btw, the guy is watching “Casablanca” :)

I wish to express my gratitude to all the people.

Sorry for the long break, anyways here`s Ironhide from the 2007 Transformers Movie. This was a very tough transformer to make, especially the chest. I tried to make it as screen accurate as possible. I`m really proud how this came out. Fairly stable except the arm section falls off alot when I try to rotate it.

Anyhow, the thing about this shot is this movie preview, thai luvs making scary movie. I think when thai movie maker made a come back (as in actually made good money from movie), it was scary movie call 'mae nak', and eversince, there are rolls upon rolls of scary movie coming out. They've been variation of success. They tried all sorts of local legendary ghost stories, made up new one, add comedy mix, and now on this recent one, add lots of cute sexy chix. that's their new trick i guess, legs, boobs and freakies. Marketing guys probably came up with this movie plot young hot teenie girl showing lots of skin (then blood) - seven of them. and it might just work to attract this very very large teen target market.

what i don't like is they use a 'kiddie' frightening technique .. u know, frightens you buy sudden loud sound.. quite quite quite.. *BLAAAHHH* .. please, be a bit more creative with the plot.

Can you guess that movie?? Its an easy one :)

I think cinema, movies, and magic have always been closely associated. The very earliest people who made film were magicians. Francis Ford Coppola
