EXPLORE # 17
KIAPO ( Eng name: water lettuce, water cabbage) An aquatic plant, floating on lakes, streams, stagnant water and in lime-rich water. Leaves are fanlike, with small, soft hairs with a thick porous base. Inflorescence is fleshy, attached to the backside of the bract.
Photographed during the Pinoy Macro BS/EB at the UPLB, Mt. Makiling, Laguna.
Took a road trip to Kravica Waterfalls, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Here you have about 6 cm of it. I just snapped this with macro lens and like the results so much! I'll be back with more photos later.

"When dew is on the grass, rain will never come to pass"
With dew on the grass it usually means the sky is clear. During the day, the clear skies will continue and thus it will be a sunny day with no rain.

Ok, before you criticize, judge and accuse me of failing this week's challenge to "shoot something at a very unusual angle" let me confess up front that while it may appear that I've failed, I've actually for me, succeeded. I tend 9 times out of every 10 to see things at odd and very unusual angles and rarely if ever shoot anything straight on. So there was absolutely NO challenge for me this week except to try and shoot something straight on and still make it feel interesting. I honestly don't know if I've achieved what I set out to do, you'll have to be the judge and jury of that now but I did feel the challenge.
To see other "unusual angles" check out Monday's Photo Challenge here . . .
Second story signs on a no-longer open gift store/tourist stop, Pall Mall, TN.
The next several days will be very full with a family commitment, so my visits to flickr this week will be erratic at best or perhaps not at all...will look forward to looking at your images when I get back. Take care and hope you all have a great week!
Finally, on the third attempt, I was able to put together the shot I wanted to for Take a Class with Dave & Dave.
Week 81, Assignment 1: Out of Bounds
