Listen to the sounds of the winter woods where the trees creak in the chilling wind with a distinct absence of rustling leaves. Ice clinging to the trunks let go with a crack as the setting sun sends a circle of warmth around the roots. It's a season that complains of the cold. - Lynn Reket

For the group, "Smile On Saturday," and this November 30's theme: "Motion Blur."

This is something I have wanted to try for a while.

I couldn't get the background a nice white and I'm sure some of my settings are not right but for a first attempt, not bad :)

I would love to hear what I could try different next time !

A great theme, thanks Maria !

I took a bunch of coloured Christmas lights and started rotating them in front of a black background.

This is my first try at this and I love this shot.

All the colours, they are so me :) I love colours.

Last night we were totally caught off guard with a gorgeous vibrant sunset while we were down by the water after supper. We haven't seen a good sunset like this in months! We had our camera but we didn't have much foreground to play with when the sky burst into colour. So I seized the moment to do a little ICM to give the scene a bit of an edge. I liked this one because it was just enough movement and not too much so as to keep some of that texture in the water.

Thank you for your visits and comments my friends..cheers

It was a dark and overcast morning, and I had not set my camera for capturing action, when this curlew flew by. Thus, the extreme motion blur, as I panned with the bird, and a less than sharp curlew, which, to my eye, resulted in quite a pleasing image.
