Photo Mount Igueldo, on a rather threatening day, but without rain. In the image, you can see the houses of the igueldo district and the amusement park of it. The mountain has three peaks, hence the name in Basque Hiru Txubilloak. The photo, I took from Miramar Palace, trying to highlight the scene, with that menacing sky, on a cloudy day. Despite everything, there were people on the beach and the sea was quite calm, although little were the brave ones who bathed.

The city of Monte Alban was the capital of the Zapotecs. It was founded in the 5th century BC, and at its peak towards the 5th century AD, it had about 30,000 inhabitants.

It was then occupied by the Mixtecs in the 12th century, until the arrival of the conquistadors in the 16th century.

The site, built on top of a plateau overlooking the surrounding valleys, is spectacular.

View over the Stellisee towards the Matterhorn - or Monte Cervino in italian :-)...

Last October. I hiked this mountain in Italy. It was quiet and a nice adventure to get to the top. More photos with the link of my blog-below- but the text is in French.

Mount Pelmo seen from Rifugio Lagazuoi

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Monte Pelmo is a significant mountain of the Dolomites, in the province of Belluno, Northeastern Italy.

The mountain resembles a giant block which stands isolated from other peaks, so can be seen clearly from the neighbouring valleys and from nearby mountains such as Antelao and Monte Civetta.

Monte Pelmo was one of the first major Dolomite peaks to be climbed, by Englishman John Ball, who later became president of the Alpine Club (UK), in 1857.

West of the summit lies a secondary peak, Pelmetto (meaning "Little Pelmo" in Italian), at 2,990m high, which has a 1,100m high north face.

Monte Verde (Portuguese meaning "green mountain") is the tallest mountain in the island of São Vicente, Cape Verde.

The view at the top of Monte Verde is spectacular featuring views of the entire island including Baía das Gatas and the city of Mindelo as well as the islands Santa Luzia to the east and Santo Antão to the northwest.

Walking in the nature at the end of 2019 in Monte Ceceri. History says that Leonardo da Vinci, was inspired in this place to project his flight machine...by the way, Happy New Year to all! :)

My last pic was going on in the eastern sky while this was going on in the western sky only a few minutes apart...it was a great morning! One shot was spot metered on the moon and one was metered on the landscape then blended in Photoshop.
