moments like these you say mmmm
and no this wasnt taken by any sort of fancy camera - canon powershot A470
The best part of taking nocturnal images is the silence, country walks, town centres and streets all fall silent.
This was taken in the grounds of All Saints Church, I noticed this bench as I walked towards the church and felt like it captured the idea of silence. I positioned my camera behind the tree so that I could reduce the amount of direct light getting through. Once again I've adjusted the colour in photoshop to get more natural tones, however the tree on the right was also catching light from the lights on the church itself.

moments of repose
at first.
i come to you slowly
and softly from on high.
i begin in the heavens
and fall in a mist so fine
that my molecules
are perfect crystals
of life force.
the winds of change
lay me across your breast to rest,
as the warmth of your breath
transforms me into something new.
we join and rest until
i drip further down
your form, freezing
for moments of time
that are as pointedly ephemeral
as they are beautiful.
the enormity of it all
pulls me down, down,
further still to a point of no return.
at last repose and moments
that linger to remind
us that this cycle continues
as it always has
and always will. - bp 18 Jan 2010

The moments that one can see in your head before you actually have the chance to take them.....
I was not the photographer of record so I tried to resist taking photos and getting in the way...
This was a moment I had to capture
This family has meant the world to me since the bride and I were like 6 or 7 years old.
The Mayor of San Ramon walking his daughter down the aisle
I think I did it justice {spur of the moment snap shot}
I was walking down the street, frustrated because i could not get any shots because people felt the need to politely get out the way when I saw this couple after i put my camera away. So i scrambled to get my camera out and not miss this moment.
This moment only lasted for a few seconds ...
Here you can see the reason for the moment of relaxation: 4.bp.blogspot.com/-ce_BhgKJKRA/TgeWuxq3W3I/AAAAAAAAAzA/EF...
I love these great moments of joy and happiness, and it is so simple...
just a visit to the beach, a walk in the park will do the trick!
Having these dogs around is quality time everyday!

Enjoy your weekend!
With all those kits running around it's tough to find a moment of peace for an old man! Red fox - Ontario, Canada
Life has come to a moment so still,
losing all hope and I’m giving in.
Step by step I’m losing my balance,
my dwelling of crystal has started to shatter.
Being sucked away by the outbursts of anger,
to breathe or to live; now nothing matters.
Moment by moment I lost in the struggle,
withered and broken, lost in the hustle.

Every moment of light and dark is a miracle. ~Walt Whitman
Visited the Westin tonight for a farewell dinner. Absolutely enchanting place. Long corridors reminiscent of estates of old, mammoth doors, cathedral ceilings, chandeliers, and a view that ignites personal reflection.
