There are some magical moments that you can not or you may not be able to see personally but if somehow you get a chance to see those moments created by someone, it is amazing and wonderful...... Actually I used to read stories about arab culture in my childhood where there people used to travell by camels in the deserts. But after visiting gulf countries, I couldn't see such things but thanks to Imran who created this wonderful art wrok just to make me feel very special for not just seeing this marvellous work of him but also for allowing me to share his work on my stream as well.....

Well finally, with this drab weather, I managed to get a shot at full 400mm (to test my new lens) that I was very pleased with. I watched this family for a while from a distance and took several shots. They were doing the family things and sharing experiences with their children. Really happy with this one.
Been sick since Tuesday and I have been missing taking my morning walks and capturing sunrise moments. So I rummaged through my archive to look for one I captured a while back. This one should keep me on the hold until I can get back to my morning routine.

The final moment before the sun sank below the horizon made for an unimaginable evening at the Trona Pinnacles. While shooting I find that I often get tunnel vision and forget to stand back and look around me. Too focused on the camera and getting the exposures right can be quite a distraction. I suppose that's why we take photographs though...to record what we saw. You'd think after shooting for a few years your nerves would calm down when you get to a big landscape. But when I was recording these shots I was shaking like a leaf. I knew the light was incredible; I felt like a kid in love for the first time.

The Magic Moment
Everything seems like always, pretty normal.

While going through my archives I came across this image taken several years back on an early summer morn at Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge on the east platfrom. A doe and her fawn had stepped down into the creek and into our momentary view. I still remember the magic of the moment!

i alsmot forgot last week's moment! AH! Thursday, July 2nd at 7:12 p.m., optional theme "sky."
i was SO looking forward to this theme. i hoped for a beautiful sunset, great clouds, and colors, instead i got what we have had for almost a month, a blanket of thick rain clouds. stormy weather moment. this is really what summer has looked like thus far in maine, i am hoping the second half has much more light in it.
It takes a lot of patience and a whole lot of luck to capture moments like this. I stopped noticing the mosquitoes hovering all over me when I started seeing the pink alpenglow on the mountain softly reflected on Tenaya Lake.

carmen was so nice and did a shoot of just my hubby and i, i did one of them in return. i am just beginning to work on these images, my first ever couples shoot. thanks you c & s! you were troopers surviving all the mosquitoes. it was fun and a great learning experience.

The chilly morning temperatures caused fog to rise over the relatively warm waters of the lake while the very first sunlight of the day lit up high cirrus clouds. These precursor clouds signalize the distant cyclone system coming in from the Pacific ocean bringing clouds and rain for several days to the Canadian Rockies. These mountains are geologically built up by alternating layers of limestone and shale that sedimented on an ancient ocean floor 245 to 363 million years ago. Compression of these once flat lying layers of 1300 m thickness each caused the sediments to break into huge slabs that tilted upwards into a system of repeating limestone and shale pattern. Each rock exposed to the surface is attacked by the erosive forces of weathering. The shale layer is a soft rock compared to the limestone. Hence glaciers, precipitation, frost and wind easily eroded the shale into deep valleys leaving the resistant tilted limestone behind as the Canadian Rocky Mountains we see today. These steep cliffs of Mt. Rundle were formed during the ice age by carving of glaciers and later by cutting of the Bow river. These sun rays lighting up the sky, reflecting in the lake and on the mountains in the morning quietude really was a moment to remember.

I went to pondicherry for visiting renovated house of my colleague' Grandpa House..
She was recollecting the memories and the moments with the window in her childhood..

Some moments of beautiful morning light in Konitsa Epirus Greece.
After 3 days waking up early enough to catch a colorful sunrise the fourth day a clear sky with a few clouds appeared and gave me some unique moments of beautiful light The truth is I enjoyed all the mornings equally, even without the magic light of sunrise.
