Peace of mind! That is something essential to any enjoyment of the present moment, and unless its separate moments are enjoyed, there is an end to life's happiness as a whole. We should always recollect that today comes only once, and never returns. We fancy that it will come again tomorrow, but tomorrow is another day, which, in its turn comes once only.
The present alone is true and actual; it is the only time which possesses full reality, and our existence lies in its exclusivity. Therefore we should always be glad of it, and give it the welcome it deserves, and enjoy every hour.
-- Arthur Schopenhauer

I had my folks visit me and hence the inactivity in case I was not showing up on your streams for a few days :) I intend to catch up as and when I could and as much as I could. In case I am not able to be as frequent as I used to be, I can only keep trying :)
I remember going to the Tower Bridge back in 2010 when I first visited the UK for a few months and back then I was still coming to terms with night photography and really have not done much before that. I managed to get a few shots that were good but definitely not something I was happy with. As I had to take my folks to London for some sightseeing anyway, I figured giving it another try would not hurt...
So here I was after all these years re-living those moments with my mind awash with so many thoughts and fascinations about one of the most beautiful and iconic bridges in the world! My only gripe was that the fountain close to this place has become uncared for with so much trash thrown around. So instead I used the railings to create some perspective...

Spring.
Enjoying the last rays of the sun for the day. Spring brings everyone out to enjoy the sun as the days of winter are behind. Although there never seems to be the "perfect" day (too warm, too cold, too much blah, blah...too much talk about it really) I find this portion of the season to be rather exceptional and love it when I come across scenes such as this allowing the moment to live for the duration...

Time is free, but it's priceless. You can't own it, but you can use it. You can't keep it, but you can spend it. Once you've lost it you can never get it back. Harvey MacKay

Der Altmühlsee liegt in Bayern genauer in Mittelfranken südwestlich von Nürnberg im Landkreis Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen. Er gehört neben anderen großen Seen in der Umgebung zum Fränkischen Seenland.
When in nature, sometimes there is a moment when time seems to stop and you feel as one with everything around you, and you reach a heightened sense of spirituality and know…you’re home.
