As you practice, you improve.

Not at everything, but at many things:

at enough things to make "practice"

a mantra worth practicing.

Moments are worth practicing: finding them, sensing them, feeling them,

seeing them, stealing them, holding them; for however long forever might be.

Conscious…and subconscious…and unconscious meet

in sweet union with each other.

Fleeting moments of life, in life, about life – with practice – may be “seen”

with the unconscious,

with the subconscious,

and become moments of the forever conscious.

“I saw that,” you may say.

“I felt that.”

“I heard that.”

“I sensed that.”

It was but a moment…that now feels frozen and eternal.

A moment you can almost reach out a touch.

With practice you can –

sometimes, if not enough of the time,

with attention and intention -

capture moments purposefully.

No, it's not quite capture on-demand,

but to capture a moment often enough,

to savor, in your own time,

these moments of life…sublime.

Deciding the title for this one left me with two choices; 1. give it a title based on what you see 2. give it a title according to what you felt at the time of the capture. So, number 2 it is... Having said that, the title could just as well have been 'Paradise' because that is exactly what I see!

Thank you very much for all your wonderful comments, favs and invites! That is very much appreciated! I wish you all a brilliant friday and an excellent weekend ahead!

"Guard well your spare moments. They are like uncut diamonds. Discard them and their value will never be known. Improve them and they will become the brightest gems in a useful life."

— Ralph Waldo Emerson

I have been doing a lot of traveling lately. Getting up early to begin my drive at sunrise and coming home at sunset. For some, the driving would seem tedious. I tend to see it differently, as I am getting to witness the most beautiful landscapes and light each day! This was a photo I took from the driver's side window last week with my little point and shoot camera on my way to work. It just goes to show that you don't need a fancy camera or a perfect vantage point to get an interesting photograph. So now I am off again at sunrise - will check your streams at sunset!

The only day in Arizona that was not tack clear........But it still can't soften the Red Rocks.......

(processed using AKVIS software that I am trying)

make it difficult to remember that these are wild animals. A wonderful moment but one that makes me fearful for their safety and survival.
