Located inside Saltery Bay Provincial Park is Mermaid Cove where we camped for a few days to enjoy the natural beauty of the BC coastline. This area provided many wonderful photo opportunities.
Early in the morning when the birds are singing and the day is just starting is the best time to pick up the camera and enjoy these peaceful surroundings. I had the cove all to myself and loved exploring the many breathtaking vistas this little cove had to offer.

Mermaids are one of Brontes absolute favourite things. She went for a paddle that became a swim in her dress, and looked like a mermaid as she came out of the water :)
Before we even went to Tokyo Disney Sea I knew I wanted to spend some time in Mermaid Lagoon taking photos. The opportunity presented itself when pouring rain forced us, and everyone else in Tokyo Disney Sea underground to find shelter from the rain.
It was in here that my wet camera took a dive and decided to stop working. Luckily, Diane was carrying the 7D to take pictures with so I swiped it from her and spent about 2 hours taking pictures. With all the covered in wet ponchos, it became very hot, stuffy and damp in there pretty quickly. Diane was bored to death, hot and sticky from all the humidity. She declared, "I have to get out of this pit before my head explodes."
Henceforth, Mermaid Lagoon will always be known to us as "The Pit".

The Little Mermaid has been away from her usual location from April till November 2010, being the main attraction at the Danish pavillion at the 2010 World Fair in Shanghai, China. Since November 20 she is back in her place in Copenhagen Harbor for all visitors to enjoy...Denmark

Technical 2 round 0. This is to make the cast of 20. Hopefully both Harlan and her sister Heather get in. But yeah sort of mermaid inspired. I wanted a like metallic seaweed and barbed wire came to mind. The hair was a real paint. I'm not used to drawing hair from scratch. I usually just draw over the in game hair. I love her outfit though. I'm surprised no one else picked it.
But yeah Poise 5 picture tomorrow. I decided to this before it seeing that I just finished a headshot. Not I have to do another.

This is a collage I made about 3 years ago. It's on canvas with acrylic paints for the background. Then I rubberstamped the image of the mermaid (I wish I could draw!)...then added the beads for texture. I still have this because it was one of the first I ever did:)

Mermaid III – one of the fishing boats in Finn Slough. I really like this location. Just one ironic thought, for community that has pride themselves on not following “traditional” society , there is a lot “No Trespassing” and “Private Property” signs but I still like it
