Memory of summertime ;-)

it's so easy to leave me

all alone with my memory

of my days in the sun

if you touch me

you'll understand what happiness is

look, a new day has begun

A foggy Georgia morning and a reflection pond.

The summer-flower has run to seed,

And yellow is the woodland bough;

And every leaf of bush and weed

Is tiped with autumn’s pencil now.

And I do love the varied hue,

And I do love the browning plain;

And I do love each scene to view,

That’s mark’d with beauties of her reign.

A russet red the hazels gain,

As suited to their drear decline;

While maples brightest dress retain,

And in the gayest yellows shine.

Beneath a yellow fading tree,

As red suns light thee, Autumn-morn,

In wildest rapture let me see

The sweets that most thy charms adorn.

Life brings tears, smiles, and memories...

Thanks for your visit. Comments, faves and invitations are very appreciated if you chose to leave any.

The spring blossom has gone and it is now just a memory.

A journey through France-Alsace

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

Only a couple of weeks ago and the Beast from the East is already a fading memory.

This collage of memories is based on the life and beauty of another one of my great aunts, Mattie Malvina Hamilton. She was the sixth of seven daughters, born in Kentucky in 1880. Although I don’t remember her, I do know that she was a favorite sister of my grandmother. I wish I had listened more carefully to her stories of “Aunt Matt”.....

CHEF clabudak wants us to experiment with vintage-tinged collage techniques, a genre that some of us may find difficult at first. She says, "I wanted to give others a chance to branch out a bit if they haven't tried it before" (or even if they have!!).

➤ Create an image in the style of collage art (a.k.a., cut-out art). See below for some inspiration links.**

➤ The main subject must be a vintage portrait of one man or one woman. See note below.***

➤ The image must include at least one animal (from spider to elephant and all in between).

➤ It must also include text.

➤ NO SUPER BRIGHT, SATURATED COLORS.

cross illuminated with candlelight

Look large!

Take me to the past

to that weathered house on the beach

Where I was a child

allowed to play in the salty sea

Not a care in the world

No depression or anxiety

Just a vast blue sky

and the sand beneath my feet

Let me dive into memories' flowing sea

A time when life could still buzz and sing

Allow my yesterdays to reflect back upon me

A reminder of when I could still feel something

Submerge me

deep down

within my memories' sea

Here's to the ones that we got

Cheers to the wish you were here, but you're not

'Cause the drinks bring back all the memories

Of everything we've been through

Toast to the ones here today

Toast to the ones that we lost on the way

'Cause the drinks bring back all the memories

And the memories bring back, memories bring back you

There's a time that I remember, when I did not know no pain

When I believed in forever, and everything would stay the same

Now my heart feel like December when somebody say your name

'Cause I can't reach out to call you, but I know I will one day, yeah

Everybody hurts sometimes

Everybody hurts someday

And the memories bring back, memories bring back you

Thanks to my son who gave me this lovely flowering crab many years ago on Mother’s Day! I always try to get a shot with both the blooms and buds. Enjoy your Easter weekend or your Passover memories!

"Burnt out ends of smoky days

The still cold smell of morning

A street lamp dies, another night is over

Another day is dawning

Touch me,

It is so easy to leave me

All alone with the memory

Of my days in the sun

If you touch me,

You'll understand what happiness is

Look, a new day has begun!"

Sommermorgen

Wenns Morgens früh' um viere

die Dunkelheit vertreibt

beginn ich mich zu freuen

wir schreiben Sommerzeit

Die ersten Strahlen brechen

in tief orangem Licht

an Baumeswipfeln vorrüber

durchs nebelig Gedicht

Die letzten Schwaden schwinden

jetzt sind sie alle weg

der Sonne warme Hände

berühren mein Gesicht

Und nie mehr müsst ich klagen

nie mehr traurig weil'n

würd doch nur jeder Morgen

ein Sommermorgen sein .

Summer morning

When early in the morning

The darkness

I begin to rejoice

We write summer time

The first rays break

In deep orange light

At tree tops

Through the foggy poem

The last winds vanish

Now they are all gone

The sun warm hands

Touch my face

And I never have to complain

Never more sad because

Would be only every morning

To be a summer morning.

"Photographs have become our memory keepers." A.G.

j'ai tant de photos à partager et j'aime le faire sans ordre précis. Merci de vos commentaires. Bon dimanche !

Memories are part of our own being,as if interpolated with the GNA we carrie and 'procreate'.....Sometimes we have mixed feelings and 'good and bad' memories of someone or something, but they still remain a big part of our life and we forever are entangled and 'stunned' by the moments in our time of our own universe....

Memories keep us sane...Even those that can cause a great pain become a part of who we really are....In the end we will all be barely remembered, except for the echo of our souls which forever sing the melody of the star dust we once were and again will be.....b.mikich
