Found this one in the garden today, the more i look at it the more it looks like a Robot,it even had a dent in one of it`s wing shields ....Maybe it belongs to the M.O.D.
Reaching back into the files for a collection of iPhone shots I've taken over the last few years. Processed with Snapseed in camera.
Here is the next shot from my series Deconstruction.
I took this picture at night, it was kind of scary being there alone so I tried to get the shot as quick as possible.
I took 6 RAW (-3,-2,-1,0,+1,+2) and I blended them together to get the broadest light spectrum.
I kept the second longest exposure for the sky in order to have nice movement on the clouds.
I adjusted the exposure on the shovel and the building with the other less exposed shots. I then highlighted a bit the stars (they are real, not photoshopped!) and finally added a bit of contrast everywhere except the sky. At the end, I made a final small adjustment on the temperature and that's it!
I hope you enjoy it!
As usual, please leave some comments, feedback and critics! Thank you!!

A mean and moody day along the Purbeck coast this week with the Pinnacles off Handfast Point and a sunlit Swanage Downs in the distance.
A 50 second exposure @ f/16 with a Lee Big Stopper and 0.6 hard grad.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Here's a link to my BLOG. New entry posted earlier this week.
Setting an example is not the main means of influencing another. It is the only means.

it always amazes me how well the cattle weather the winter season, but that being said, hopefully spring is right around the corner....
Insights from myth, dreams, and intuitions, from glimpses of an invisible reality, and from perennial human wisdom provide us with hints and guesses about the meaning of life and what we are here for. Prayer, observance, discipline, thought and action are the means through which we grow and find meaning.

Fort Adams
Newport, RI
Fort Adam's History:
"The forces of nature that gave the settlers of Rhode Island one of the finest natural harbors in the world, Narragansett Bay, also presented them with a military challenge. Part of the challenge was to prevent an enemy fleet from entering the bay to attack friendly ships or cities along the shore. Another part was to prevent an enemy from seizing the bay to use it for a base of operations. Periodically, those charged with meeting this challenge have had to answer three broad questions. The first was whether to fortify the bay in addition to, or in place of, defending it by strictly naval means. If the answer was yes, questions remained as to what type of fortifications should be built and where they should be located. A look at how these questions were answered in the past provides not only an insight into an important aspect of Newport’s history, but a review of the development of American seacoast defenses as well."

I grasped the meaning of the greatest secret that human poetry and human thought and belief have to impart: The salvation of man is through love and in love.
~ Viktor Frankl
...
During college, Viktor Frankl's "Man's Search for Meaning" was my staple. I prefer him over Freud. His psychological theories, for me, are more relevant (because it is based on real human experience--his experience in Auschwitz, and not just a function of the id, ego, and superego.
Anyway, this is for my kabagis, Ge, a.k.a. I Travel East. May you always keep and carry that torch for photography! Keep on shooting bro!
Just when my hope had gone
Just when i needed someone to give me love
you came and rescued me
you showed me right there
Just what i've been waiting for
lifted me up
guided me out from the dark
Just when i needed it most
You showed me the meaning of love
2,922 days ago a small portion of this hill appeared in an upside down manner. Only two people actually witnessed it happen. All the laws of physics can't explain this phenomenon. After pouring over the math for the last 2,922 days I've come to realize that some things are just suppose to be a certain way (which is a nice way of saying I'm not smart enough to know why this happened). To this day the little slice of hill continues to float; waiting for something to put it back in its place or forever be a spectacle to those passing by.
i thought this reminded me of the video for Another Brick in the Wall/Pink Floyd---the walking hammers???

Few people knew that Rudolph had a secret mean streak: for example, that day with the macarons. Rudolph (like everyone else) knew that rabbits can never resist a challenge about speed: he knew that all he needed to do was drop a comment about who could reach those tantalizing macarons first. -- It was particularly amusing for Rudolph to watch "Speedy" (a self-anoited nickname that an especially smug rabbit gave himself, after famously eluding the family dog) grip the clipboard for dear life.
