I'd been having this stuff around for a while now and wanted to do something with them. I really like the colors, but this isn't exactly it. Just had to shoot something with them and this is the result of playing around one night a week or so ago.

Sorry all - got tied up at work and have been Flickrless for a quite a few days. I took a few Flickr days off because of events at my kid's school and was planning on posting saturday. Then the rain hit. Bad flooding this past weekend in the NW burbs of Chicago - I had to go to work an put in some many long hours. I have a ton of catching up to do!

About the shot - took this and processesed it a few weeks ago, I can't remember if it's three exposures or not. Anyway this belonged to the husband of my mom's friend. He passed away about a year ago. This reminds me of a past era, with the whole anti-smoking thing, it seems that matchbook collecting is about at the end of its run.

Matchbook artwork.

This is my answer to W.W.J.D. The 6 cubed is of course the "mark of the beast". This was done with Micron pens and Prismacolor pencil. I covered the matchbook with epoxy and put a magnet strip on the back.
