This river cruiser has been static in this slough for many, many years...

A friend and I left the city at 5am for an 1 1/2 hour drive and then 30 minute hike to arrive at the rapids for sunrise.

It was a beautiful, beautiful morning.

Got the chance for a little tour through South/Eastern part of Manitoba and came across this little gem in Piney, MB

Was so nice to finally see a break in the clouds today. It's been so grey for a number of days and then fog a good part of the weekend.

During August, of 2013 I took a vacation to Manitoba, Canada to visit some relatives. Luckily, during that time frame a cold front, came in and made for some photogenic skies. As I saw these black storm clouds roll in, I ran for my camera that was in the camper trailer and frantically set up the tripod and camera gear to get a shot of the scene when the sky was like this.

PS: To all my contacs. I've been offline for quite a while now because of work backing up and moving to a new location.

Out for an early morning stroll along the Red River. It had been in near flood conditions earlier, and only crested week earlier.

Seeing we are called one of the prairie provinces, I thought I'd snap a few shots of the prairie grass and it's autumn charm. Not as colorful as our trees, but certainly pretty.
