My little friend got very comfortable with my camera only a couple of inches away and continued on, munching on his lunch.
For some strange reason, though, he kept one eye on me at all times.....

I remember this butterfly was so concentrated on his lunch, so I was able to take about 50 shots on him easily, from different angles. :-) You can find other shots in my macro set on the right.
I've been wanting to do something for a no-post work group and I've been putting it off, but today, having lunch, I decided to do it :)

The Parrot Cage Restaurant, in the lobby of the South Shore Cultural Center, the building where I work.
Yes, some wine, some tea, some coffee too. Salad, entree, dessert. Candles and Music. If the day is mild, you might open the doors and allow some of the fresh, drizzly air to enter. It is such places, sharing with friends that I feel so acutely alive and connected to life around me.
The building has four floors. I am on the third. On the fourth floor is the Washburn Cooking Academy (training young chefs). They often staff the Le Parrot restaurant and prepare meals (their assignments for the week.) It is a joy to feel their enthusiasm and taste their efforts. They so wish to please in so many ways. I've never been so joyful a guinea pig. :-))))

As I was waiting in Fox Lake, I got word that the train stopped in Spring Grove for lunch. With rain only a few minutes away I drove up to Winn road and shot him before the heavy rain came!
