My little friend got very comfortable with my camera only a couple of inches away and continued on, munching on his lunch.

For some strange reason, though, he kept one eye on me at all times.....

I remember this butterfly was so concentrated on his lunch, so I was able to take about 50 shots on him easily, from different angles. :-) You can find other shots in my macro set on the right.

How could I resist taking photos of this cutie when she came with her Mommy for lunch this afternoon?

The little scarf and tushie wrap were made by the wonderfully talented Ewa.

After some summer rain. Lunch pavilion at the Vroesenpark, Rotterdam.

tit flying away from my balcony

With the weather forecast predicting glum for the near future, I thought to look back at some shots from the summer.

A slightly different perspective than the other posted one.

This was taken during a longer-than-usual lunch walk. It seems like a long 2 months ago...

A little sunshine in the city... nice to get outside for a lunch break . . .

We spotted this Great Egret Hunting in Yolo Bypass. We patiently waited for just the right moment, sun, crawdad (Lunch), direction etc. to get the right picture at the right time. It’s always a pleasure to capture birds with their food. The Great Egret photographs beautifully and has a wonderful grace about it. - Eddie Higgins Trio, "Falando de Amor."

The Parrot Cage Restaurant, in the lobby of the South Shore Cultural Center, the building where I work.

Yes, some wine, some tea, some coffee too. Salad, entree, dessert. Candles and Music. If the day is mild, you might open the doors and allow some of the fresh, drizzly air to enter. It is such places, sharing with friends that I feel so acutely alive and connected to life around me.

The building has four floors. I am on the third. On the fourth floor is the Washburn Cooking Academy (training young chefs). They often staff the Le Parrot restaurant and prepare meals (their assignments for the week.) It is a joy to feel their enthusiasm and taste their efforts. They so wish to please in so many ways. I've never been so joyful a guinea pig. :-))))

here's some music to go with the pic :-)

For those old enough to remember, but not so old as to forget !

The omakase lunch menu (the $100 version) with an added crab cake with uni bearnaise sauce, the dolphins frolicking in Santa Monica Bay, and the stormy skies overhead really made up for the previous nights' AirBnB failure.

Sitting outside on the deck, a little sunburn came with our food.

Lunch Creek is one of many beautiful high altitude streams near Logan Pass in Glacier National Park.

i have decided "yolk" is my favorite color.

One of literally hundreds of Sandpiper-like birds along the coast. I'm pretty sure this guy is a Willet in his winter suit. We see them just about every day here.. He's grazing for tiny sand crabs. From the thousands of shots I have taken on the Outer Banks. This one from 2011.
