June 12noon. There's no June Gloom where there are love locks. I love love locks! These have been here awhile and they didn't have hearts, so I brought a love locket up. I was in the middle of doing a closeup shot when this young couple walked by. The timing was meant to be. I hope they enjoy each other for a long time!

My friend's 24-year-old daughter passed away suddenly, and unexpectedly on Feb. 25. She had Marfan Syndrom for her whole life, but only discovered it at Thanksgiving 2009, when her aorta ruptured. Doctors were able to save her then, but not this time. it's such a tradgedy, and reminds me that the most important thing here on earth is how you love the people around you. She was a bubbly, vivacious, happy person. She will be missed. Rest in Peace ~ Jaclyn Marie Prindle

February is Have a Heart for Marfan Month
Another visit to The National Memorial Arboretum today, this heart was on tree to remember the loss of a loved one. It is a very touching, thoughtful place.
