i made this for my very talented friend vashti's new album. its called love + logic, hence the title of this image!
i think this fits her music well (its very soft and whimsical sounding), and i think it shows the idea of having to pick between love and logic clearly (typically i try to show things in a deeper way, but i think for an album cover its helpful to be more upfront!). though im not tooooo excited since the image itself isnt the most unique - i mean, how many photos are out there of someone stepping off a cliff? ive also used a composition so similar to this a few other times. :P the full image i had in mind for this was basically impossible for me to create at this point in time, given the fact that it was fully dependent upon location (even this is completely built in photoshop, i took it in my backyard... in a plain ol' field!), which is always a bit of a bummer. however i was very happy to get a chance to use this beautiful vintage wedding gown that i bought over a year ago!

Tribute to the innocent victims of terror in Stockholm yesterday, but also for the innocent victims of the gas attack in Syria a few days ago.
Our hearts are bleeding.
I did this about a year ago , but have redone it with smaller shoes for the child, and used my camera as opposed to ipad, and so can now add to my website.
i struggled a bit...whether to go square or not with this one. but in the end, i loved how the lines and close crop drew you in to their faces.

My son and younger daughter wading and walking along the beach. I noticed when editing that the clouds above them appear to be in the shape of a heart. I hope I am not the only one who sees it...

My first time using stencils...I probably should have started with the top of the cake in a lighter colour!!! I must say not for the faint hearted!!! It's quite hair raising peeling it back hoping it hadn't bled or smudged! But all in all I am really pleased how it turned out for my first time!

I was really inspired by Terri's photos. These are my two friends, Rory and Melissa. They have posed for me before, and now that I have a makeshift studio in the garage, they were glad to help me out with this assignment. This is the only photo that sort of resembled a heart, so I worked on this one.

Love Cottage, was originally built in 1868 of layers of flat stones from a nearby mine, and in the c.1940s it was surfaced in cement render. The property was owned by Robert Love, who built a blacksmith's shop, stables and an outside toilet in the early 1900s.
John Edward Tyson built the "Love cottage." John arrived in Australia from Cumbria England in about 1864 aged about 18. He went straight to the goldfields. He married Sarah Anne Tucker who was only 16 in 1867.
John and Sarah had 11 children. The cottage was their home for 26 years. Both Sarah and her baby died a year after the birth.
