The monument was designed by Sir Christopher Wren. It was built to commemorate the Great Fire of London 1666. Standing 202 feet high, the Monument is the tallest isolated stone column in the world. This was shot after climbing 311 steps.
Keg Peak is illuminated through the thick cloud and smoke below and above. This shot is from a trip that Kye and I went on to Cypress Peak near Squamish B.C. this past summer.
Abandoned castle in the Italian countryside. Large place and some grand detail left behind. Nearly a thousand years old this castle is still a beautiful place. Used for military goals where knights used to practice their skills. A famous knight got murdered right in front of the castle.
The 4H tour. Taking in some Italian delights on a 4 day explore.

Sea and sunset: my own
A long exposure shot from the Hancock from my files that I really didn't like because I got part of the beam outside of the observatory in the frame. So it was in the external drive limbo for a year or so. Anyways, I was bored last night so I thought of giving it a faux-HDR treatment. It turned out to be nice a cityscape. I think it saved it from going into the trash bin.
This week is such an interesting one in that we celebrate Valentine's Day, Ash Wednesday and Chinese New Year.
This shot was taken around CNY time when most malls in China were decorated with lucky red lanterns and full of festive moods.
Cheers friends.
I love taking shots of stairwell and this is the scariest one I've ever shot. It was fun though. La Sagrada Familia, Barcelona.
The wind picks up, the clouds begin to roll in, and the small ledge my tripod is perched on begins to feel exposed and isolated as darkness fast approaches.
