Time is the longest distance between two places
Enjoy a great day with the maximum hours of light and sunshine today. Hvidbjerg Strand, Jylland, Denmark
Hey guys! Last month I did probably the longest drive created by the Drivers of SL. If you want to go on a trip with me, click on the link and follow me ^^
It was the longest time that I waited for taking a sunset photo…I found the right place around 2 p.m. in Riomaggiore…As this is very touristic village, I decided to wait all afternoon long to keep this place…I was right…There were around 200 people around waiting for this great sunset…I’m glad that there are many sunset lovers in this universe…So, it was around 11p.m. when I finished my photo taking session…A little bit late for the great Italian dinner, but it’s worth it…;) BeNowMeHere, Riomaggiore, Cinque Terre, Italy, 2015 via 500px ift.tt/1NbcDjH
VIA train 56, the eastbound Bonaventure, rolls into Brockville behind FP9 No. 6523 in the evening hours of 11 June 1983. In a little over a week it will be the first day of summer and the longest day of the year for sunlight, and already our intrepid group of railfan photographers are taking full advantage of the long days. The change of season will also mark my graduation from high school and a taste of freedom.

Ever since I’ve been pursuing astrophotography, I’ve always wanted to take an all-night star trail image. The Winter solstice has always fascinated me, being the longest night of the year. How incredible it would be to make an all sky image on one of the longest nights of the year! Unfortunately, the weather in central Pennsylvania rarely cooperates to create such an image. On December 20, 2017, the evening sky was crystal clear and it was the day before the Winter solstice on December 21, 2017.
I set up my old Canon T2i and a Canon 8-15mm f/4L lens to capture as much of the sky as possible. Needing AC power to supply the camera all night, I had to set up in my heavily light polluted back yard. I used a homemade dew heater powered by four D cell batteries.
Away the camera went throughout the night recording the rising of the winter constellations as they arc around Polaris. I started the 30-second exposures shortly after 6 pm with the hopes of completing the sequence around 5:45 am the next morning. Despite a perfect forecast for clear skies, heavy cloud cover moved in at 4 am requiring me to cut the sequence short. I am still happy with result; it is fascinating to see the gentle arc of Polaris on this almost 10-hour exposure.
The 1080 images (Canon T2i, Canon 8-15 mm f/4L lens @ 8mm, ISO 400, f/4.5) were stacked using StarStax with final adjustments in Lightroom.

On Solstice night, the winter comes
Stalking through the antlered trees,
Riding on the frozen wind.
With hoof and horn, this longest night
Brings round once more
The ancient, endless joust:
Light and Dark contest for power,
And Light, this night, shall triumph.

No colourful dawn to write home about, but a graceful grass came to the rescue.
. . a summer solstice over the klongs of Bangkok.
Please view large for impact.
Taken this morning on the klong [canal] that runs parallel with National Highway 305, the Rangsit (Bangkok) to Nakhon Nayok Road.
The Chao Phraya River, which stretches 372 km (231 mi), is Bangkok's main geographical feature, while the river basin, the area surrounding Bangkok and the nearby provinces, comprises a series of plains and river deltas that lead into the Bay of Bangkok about 30 km (19 mi) south of the city center.
This, and the number of canals and passages that divide the area into separate patches of land have given rise to Bangkok's other name: the "Venice of the East".

Yes - summer has arrived (not)!
Actually I was pleased it was so cloudy today when I decided to go on a photo shoot - there's something about Norwegian clouds I can't resist!
It's longest if you can't remember a damn thing. I remember multi-layered jello shots, and being on the bar...

It was heavenly, as I caught flight of this Great Blue Heron ( (Ardea herodias). The pink storms clouds enriched my soul. Suddenly this Great Blue Heron appeared . . . . my heart smiled ;)
