San Francisco is blessed, or cursed, depending on how you look at it, with tons of hills. With these hills comes lots of interesting streets and none is more distinct or famous as Lombard street that descends down Russian hill in a series of tight switchbacks. This was definitely a fun shoot with all the natural sweeping curves making for a light trail shooters paradise.

Thank you all for the inspiration and support it is greatly appreciated.

Xmas Eve...

the sky was brilliant, the weather cool but not windy in that "golly, I gotta be going" way and the site was beautiful...

in the camera.

Shot from Coit Tower/Telegraph Hill.

Loads of tourists looking, wondering, asking what could I be shooting with that big @$$ lens (400mm prime with 1.4 telextender)!

Got the shot I wanted, only took a couple hours!

Happy Labor Day. Since Potrero Hill wasn't that great do to the 280 freeway, I decided to visit Lombard St. It was actually perfect to come here during Labor Day weekend because it isn't that crowded and the night was crystal clear.

After photographing the full moon rising behind Coit Tower, we decided to play around on Lombard Street. Some say that Lombard Street is the most crooked street in the world. But it's not. It's not even the most crooked street in San Francisco!

For me, this is the other Lombard St.

Lombard Street in San Francisco overlooking the Coit Tower and Bay Bridge. Hope to back very soon! I love this part of California.

Dense fog at Twin peaks forced me to look for someplace else to get dusk pictures. Drove quickly to Lombard street and luckily found the parking right on spot. It was mesmerizing there.

My 500 PX Profile

I haven't been shooting much lately due to a busy work travel schedule. But on this business trip to SF I just had to bring my gear along to shoot my favorite view. Fun night meeting up with another photographer friend.

Coit Tower was lit orange/red in celebration of the Golden Gate Bridge 75th anniversary.

A different perspective to see this classic street in the city here.

Feliz Quinta Flower!!

For all who love flowers!! :))

On my short list of things to do in the Bay area was to shoot long exposures on Lombard street in San Francisco. This trip I finally got around to doing it. Paul and had been out at Point Reyes shooting in the pea soup fog. We met up with Jean who was returning from trip to the LA area. We all had a great time, experimenting with different exposures and locations. The highlight was seeing the beacon on the Transamerica building changing colors in the retreating fog. Fun stuff!
