It's been a hot summer... Therefore, some of these grasses in my backyard got a chance to live a little longer mainly because i've been too lazy to mow the lawn :) But grasses this tall are a little out of control, if you asked my neighbor. Hope your summer's been a good one!

“Life will break you. Nobody can protect you from that, and living alone won't either, for solitude will also break you with its yearning. You have to love. You have to feel. It is the reason you are here on earth. You are here to risk your heart. You are here to be swallowed up. And when it happens that you are broken, or betrayed, or left, or hurt, or death brushes near, let yourself sit by an apple tree and listen to the apples falling all around you in heaps, wasting their sweetness. Tell yourself you tasted as many as you could.” - Louise Erdrich, The Painted Drum LP

“I regret that it takes a life to learn how to live.” -

I've heard there are troubles of more than one kind; some come from ahead, and some come from behind. But I've brought a big bat. I'm all ready, you see; now my troubles are going to have troubles with me! -

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! xo:heart:️

Yesterday morning along the high field path. Those are greenhouses in the distance. Thanks for the drop in and have a terrific evening.

Foggy sunday here in London ★★★

This living hand, now warm and capable

Of earnest grasping, would, if it were cold

And in the icy silence of the tomb,

So haunt thy days and chill thy dreaming nights

That thou wouldst wish thine own heart dry of blood

So in my veins red life might stream again,

And thou be conscience-calmed—see here it is—

I hold it towards you.

--John Keats

1) eyes can deceive

2) I know you know that I know that you know. So...

still now untitled dreams of mine

alone draw the life of mine

i fell too lonely

sometime some lazy moment

then why always run

at cost of lost every thing

By the rule of reality

i fell void

suddenly i lost myself

and live against myself

Thanks to Skeletal Mess for his tutorial. on...Tinted Bleached Effect...

Live simply....

Love generously....

Care deeply....

Speak kindly....

I don't know whose words these are. I find them good guidelines in how to treat the planet and all within. This photo is from the fall on a trip into Cobourg for groceries.

I have learned so much from the tutorials on Shadow House Creations....the website of SkeletalMess.

"I have learned that everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all happiness and growth occurs while you're climbing it." Andy Rooney

Well Andy, I must agree but I also must admit that I don't always feel like that when I'm's knowing the fruit that the climb will bear that keeps me going : )

I can hardly believe that today is December 1st already! Have a great day!

Life is crazy,

and totally unpredictable...

It's going to push you over,

kick you while you're down

and hit you when you try to get back up.

Not everything can beat you.

Things are going to change you,

But you get to choose which ones you let change you.

Listen to your heart,

Follow your dreams,

And let no one tell you what you're capable of.

Push the limits,

Bend the rules,

And enjoy every minute of it.

Laugh at everything,

Live for as long as you can.

Love all,

But trust none.

Believe in yourself,

And never lose faith in others

Settle for nothing but only the best,

And give 110% in everything you do.

Take risks,

Live on the edge,

Yet stay safe,

And cherish every moment of it.

Life is a gift,

Appreciate all the rewards,

And jump on every opportunity.

Not everyone's going to love you

But who needs them anyways.

Challenge everything,

And fight for what you believe.

Back down to nothing,

But give in to the little things in life,

After all, that is what makes you.

Forget the unnecessary,

But remember everything,

Bring it with you everywhere you go.

Learn something new,

And appreciate criticism.

Hate nothing,

But dislike what you want.

Never forget where you came from,

And always remember where you are going.

Live Life to its fullest,

And have a reason for everything,

Even if it's totally insane.

Find Your purpose in life,

and Live it!

Family Friend Poems

To live in a big town with all conveniences and comforts must be wonderful. Very often I do envy my son who lives in Vienna with its famous buildings , theatres, cinemas and museums.

Today I walked around my little town where I live- and I was so happy to feel the wind in my hair, to smell the cut grass and to see all the colors of summer.

The Minden area (Northwest Germany) is full of old mills (wind, water, horse, oil) maintained by volunteers and private owners. Whit Monday is traditionally the day when most of the more than 40 mills are open to the public. This year we took the windmill of Eickhorst and the river mill in Minden city for a visit.

Words from: Live Forever - Oasis

Seeing this butterfly (asagimadara) the man who was standing near this flower told me that he should live composedly just like that butterfly. I agreed with him. Though I thought it might be too absorbed in his pleasure to live safely there is no reason to deny that we should not enjoy living this life. It was a beautiful autumnal day.

If they can do it, so can we!

" Pulling together, working together, just building together,

that makes you strong.

If things go wrong we'll still get along somehow,

living and growing together..."

Mardon is the name of this very tiny skipper. How tiny? Only an inch. Just compare it with the size of the flower, and you'll see what I mean!

The Mardon Skipper is currently listed as an endangered species. Non migratory, and they love the grasslands.

I so focus on the butterfly, that it took a while to notice the spider, but guess who was looking at me!

Hi everyone! I hope you all have been doing fine. Still a bit busy, but wanted to say hello, and wish you a great week!

Living Faucet

There are many times when a photographer or painter's sense of and feeling for a place can be expressed better with an impression than with a literal image. The sense of feeling is as important a reality as the place itself, and that's what the artist wants to evoke or express." {Freeman Patterson, The Garden}.

A proprietor called 'Blondie' is responsible for my visual meanderings, she's the generous owner of an indoor Garden Centre in our city. I found myself last month collecting images of garden objects during our monthly field trip gathering with members from our local photography club. It was entirely some of the best visual therapy I could have imagined, the symbolism and seasonal perfumes are stimulation for our wintered souls. The process is also entirely different from prairie landscape photography, a chance to brush up on low light camera skills.

I wasn't entirely sure what to do with the collection later, or why I'd migrated towards certain pieces and objects. When I began to choose certain images for the montage, it occurred to me that many of these symbols had popped in a dream here and there. I was preparing myself for Spring's arousing right brain nectar. The Faucet of Life is slowly turning back on.

Have a great weekend my Flickr friends, we're heading to 15C over the weekend, the skiff of snow yesterday will disappear and the brown landscape will begin regenerating back to life.

A little fun for the weekend :)

For a long, long time it has been my dream to go to Tokyo Disneyland. It took several years but I was finally able to make that dream come true. And I must say, those parks are like living a dream. They are pure magic.

Spotted this whilst looking around for my next shot; I accidentaly left the live view on while the camera was still on the tripod otherwise i wouldnt have seen it (!) last one of the day from Chalkwell Beach, Im thinking ill be going further a field from now on.

We live in an apartment that has a small patio, but I have no plants yet (I seem to kill all the plants I have ever owned!). When we actually do own a place with a yard, I would love to have a low-maintenance yard filled with succulents and cacti... Anything that can withstand not being watered for a very long time =)

{texture from DyingBeautyStock}

Kind of a strange name for these trees isn't it?? Opposed to what....dead oaks?? They don't look anything like the oak trees that I normally see.

I returned to Wormsloe looking for better light yesterday. I got what I was looking for but still no "magical" light. This is looking down the avenue toward the gate.

Yes, I actually went inside. I was forced to!!! I was shooting at the gate and a ranger came and told me I wasn't allowed to shoot there without a permit!!!! Even after I told him I don't work for anyone and it's for my own personal use, he insisted I drive up this lane over a mile to the ranger station and get the damn permit. I didn't drive over 1000 miles NOT to get the shot so I went and paid for a permit. They only charged the price of admission since it was for personal use which was $10.00. At one point when I was all set up, I asked the guy to let me fire off one more shot before the light went and he stepped in front of my camera and said "I can't let you do that Ma'am". Jerk!! By the time I got the permit, the light wasn't quite as nice but still not bad. Apparently the criteria for needing a permit is if you have a tripod and they take it VERY seriously!!! How ridiculous is that??

I got my $10.00 worth and have lots more LOL.

I'm off to spend the day in the historic area and check out the cemetaries. Catch up with y'all later:-))
