I participated in Kat Sloma's "Liberate Your Art" project. Each person made postcards and sent them to Kat---who then shuffled them around so we each received back the cards from others.I totally enjoyed the process.
This gave me an opportunity to play with all the tool in my editing box. Also, this was my first opportunity to design and produce postcards. I worked with MOO and was very happy with the results. These are the cards I received back.
Today's social activity - painting in a group. This still needs a few highlights and tweaks. A nice afternoon for me that gets the creative juices flowing for my independent work.
It was spring break for many teachers who were also there. Sad to hear them chatter about being disillusioned with their profession and wanting to get out. Did not help the image of an educator to the public. So many good teachers and kids who benefit that can be harmed by a few or when stress is vented in public.

Today I sent off my postcards off to Kat Sioma's "Liberate your Art postcard swap. I made an effort to decorate the outside of my envelope.
My first card received in the Liberate Your Art Postcard swap. A little anxious. So many have received 2-4 cards already. WI must be a slow postcard state! Also have not seen or heard that anyone has received my cards....
This card and art is created by Amy Duncan. Facebook page at Four Corners Design, blog at www.fourcornersdesign.blogspot.com and on Instagram as four corners design. This card is actually a photo of one of her paper collages created with vintage ephemera.

Thank you Terri! :)
My first postcard arrived from Liberate Your Art 2017 --- all the way from Ireland! Image of acrylic painting titled Connemara Cottage. Jacinta can be found here: www.jmirishart.wordpress.com.
My art gallery. With art by @kateyeview, @arty_kat, @cyndyib, @mthoodmama, Fishgirl Pam (got your beautiful bokeh card Pam! ) and @shuttermama44 (received your beautiful art a few weeks ago Kris. Sorry it took so long to mention. Your prints are gorgeous!). I'm sad to see this ladder disappear when the new bedroom is ready. I can use the much safer stairs then. When the house is finished a beautiful new space will be created to display all the beautiful artwork I've received so far. (And this ladder will become a book ladder ). #365+1 #shuttersisters #postcardswap #postalpixpenpals #liberateyourart #liberateyourartpostcardswap
